Any of you Wisconsin crew foresters? Had a student ask me about some painted letters on trees he had seen while hunting in the NF near Ashland. Blue letters SL or such? Thanks in advance

That looks like a good excuse to buy a bumper... And I know where they're having a sale... :D

Also, TW deleted my multi-quote reply to the stuff about total chaos. My suggestion was bright orange. Lol

Anyone here been to the Easter Jeep safari in Moab? Looks like my window for visiting is the week prior to their big event. How busy can I expect the place to be that week??? I would bug out Thursday and they "start" on Saturday. Just wondering how many trail delays I can be expecting, camping issues etc...

It starts crowding up the week beforehand with all the vendors and people who have the same thought process as you. From what I understand. Basically by Wednesday the entire city is built and good luck on trail days. If it's lightly raining in the middle of the week, you'll have half of Moab all to yourself. But by Thursday Friday you can pretty much guarantee that there will be 40,000 Jeeps there. If you can though, the full size invasion section is always worth, check it out.

    Oof! That sucks!

A friend of mine works at Abra in New Berlin. They seem to do good work there.

My ex's Scion TC got hit in a parking lot probably 6 years ago. We got the work done at Don Jacobs, and they did a decent job.

IIRC that's a line marker usually denoting a block of tree's, sometimes a property line and sometimes a block of planted trees.

Thanks! Any suggestions on a place to play for a week that time of year within 20 hours drive of Ashland? Went to the Ozarks via the Mark Twain NF last year and had a blast. Looking to have some challenge and warmer weather...

@Snowy mentioned this place is a good time in Hot Springs Arkansas https://hotspringsoffroadpark.com/

If the timing works out and the drive is not more then 12ish hours I might consider joining you. That is if you're open to company.

Or Arizona and New Mexico has lots of trails also. If you want to still head west.

I would definitely go back to Arkansas. Had a blast there. I can show you a few places to get the blood pressure up on the way to the park... Always up for good company! 12 hours might work from where you are... I can't remember how long it took.. I camped at Devils lake Sp and then down just below St Louis but I was wanting to explore the Mark Twain. We should talk...

I can't recommend a shop but can say Welcome to the WI Tacoma Group

It's not a hard job to replace the needle bearing if you want to do it yourself. There are videos on YouTube on how to do it. I have the needle bearing removal tool, it's floating around the group somewhere if you'd like to borrow it.

Hot springs has awesome technical crawling and the town of hot springs is a fun place to exist as well.

If you’re in Mark Twain, Flat Nasty is right on the edge of it with world class trout fishing/canoeing/kayaking less than 10 minutes from the offroad park.
