the oil change intervals on the 690/701 are much more spread out than the excf/fe bikes...
its roughly like 6k mile intervals vs 600 mile intervals

Anyone have a recommendation for a cold weather glove? Don't need goretex per se, but those waterproof liners do seem to cut down on wind seep-through.

the drz400 is a great bike and i do love mine buuut its old its dated and very hard to get more power and its fat lol id love to get something lighter thats a bit easier for me to pick up (still dont have good strength in my left side) if i drop it on a trail but ill admit getting one for a second bike on a budget its one of the best bikes for it!

I'm most certain that my cold and your cold is completely different, but I just ordered these. They are much better than the snowboarding gloves I was using

I honestly think I'm gonna give plasti-dip a whirl. I keep reading that it'll probably be a few years before aftermarket plastics are available........and I want a white bike :D

Been really pleased with these - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y1KVT87?ie=UTF8

Worked well last winter on my 35 mile commute in 25-30 degree temps. If you are a little hardier than me, then the Scorpion EXO gloves give more dexterity and still have some Thinsulate. They work for me down to about 45 or so but I have delicate, sensitive hands...

Pretty sure that's the QA standard for CARC paint we were held to when I was at OshKosh making M-ATVs. So at least your "Mil-Spec"!

Even a cool thing can be made tedious and boring with enough DCMA paperwork.
