I've been getting messages asking if I'm still a Toyota guy. Absolutely!!

But lately I've been taking a trip on the dark side and fiddling around with Jeeps.
But I still have my Taco! And my 4runner.
I sold my Tundra and got this Jeep WJ.

Decided to get this WJ because of the straight front axle. Plus if I beat the crap out of this Jeep I don't feel so bad because it's a fraction of the cost of the Taco.

LOL! Looking to go up to 35's. But I just purchased these tires so I have some time to think about it. With these flares it can easily fit 35" tires.

    4.7 V8 I installed a CAI and a FlowMaster exhaust.
New radiator, Coils,Plugs, Isolators, 4" lift, all new bushings and control arms, new headlights, taillights, Raptor lights, ditch lights, double din stereo with reverse camera, new window moldings, new tint for the windows, Bushwacker flares, currently working on fabricating a tire swing gate for the spare.

I went with XJ over WJ back in 2014 because of the size and the huge amount of transmission failures on the V8 grands.

I ended up eating wheel bearings in my xj due to off roading in water and wound up going Tacoma because of it.

Jeeps are awesome, parts are cheap and wreckers are full of them. Just hate how weak somethings are.

Aloha, from an ex Alaskan. You role with that jeep bro. None of us are judging. Life is too complicated to get hung up on jeep vs. Taco.

I had an 18 Grand Cherokee Limited. Got rid of it after a year and gladly took the $$ hit. It was a rolling warranty claim.

    Thanks guys!
I understand the guys taking shots at the Jeeps. I was one of them. LMAO!
But since I wore out my Taco's body mounts before I hit 7K miles, I just couldn't see beating the crap out of a brand new $40K+ Tacoma.
The great thing is this jeep so far has cost me less than $8K. So if I damage anything it doesn't hurt as bad.

Here in Hawaii we're required to have the tires completely under the fenders.
So the Flares were a requirement. The great thing is that the flares gave me a shit ton of space to fit 35" tires.

I would already be on 35" tires, but I couldn't convince the "Wifey" that 35" tires was an absolute necessity!:angrygirl::eek:

Got this thing to preserve the Tacoma. This is primarily my hunting Rig! :deadhorse::bikewhoops:

The Tacoma will be primarily used for family camping trips.:headbang:

I originally started out looking for an XJ. (They are way more expensive)
These WJ's seems to be an overlooked offroad vehicle. Very similar to the XJ's but at a fraction of the price.
The main goal was to get a Straight Front Axle.
As far as my research has found. If you take care of these WJ's they can last as long as a Toyota.
So far I have refreshed most of the part on this jeep. I have a set of wheel bearings sitting in the garage.

    How about this one?

    Maybe this?

    Or you might like 4runners?

    How about Tundra's?

Maybe old school is more your thing?
