    Our rut petered out about 2 weeks ago. bucks are starting to move again. we do usually have a good 2nd rut. these are in the field behind my sons new house. or as i call his new place(A deer farm)my youngest went over yesterday and they grilled backstraps and watched the overgrown field for deer . they saw 19 total and 5 small racked bucks. muzzleloader comes back in next Sat. 779CA5F6-3315-4A86-B46D-715DAFA00470.jpgFD01CEFC-5772-4E02-B5E0-B3FBC42D555C.jpgAE41A30D-0749-4582-9770-BD34AE81292D.jpg

    So an older gentleman at my church had a buck skull mounted. told him i would give him a plack i designed for skull mounts and sit one on his front porch. it was oak and unfinished so he could stain it what ever color he wanted. well today he tried to pay me. Im like No Sir. wouldnt have give it to you if i didnt want. Merry Christmas. he said thats what i figured so here. gave me a wingbone turkey call he makes with buckskin cover. he said Merry Christmas. it will go on top of the gun cabinet. i was touched66F9D534-C271-44DF-A5F9-9B1FB7CFA807.jpg

    You can throw a hand warmer in and they are super warm.

    I lived in Florida for a few years which killed my cold tolerance. I am up in Northern VA now and will never live any farther north than this.
