Installed 3" blocks and the ride is a bit harsh for me.

Installed 3" blocks for the rear and the ride is a bit hard. I have a 2009 tacoma 5 lug access cab. The front is a 2"drop. Truck ran relatively smooth with the front drop but once I installed the blocks today the ride on the rear of the truck is stiff. I was thinking of maybe doing a 2" blocks or adding some Monroe air shocks on the rear to cushy up the ride. Currently the truck is on stock rims and tires. Any recommendations would be great. I know some of you guys are running viking coilovers. But I am building this truck as a cruiser and on a friendly budget. I like the look of the drop just the ride reminds me when i was 18 years in my lowered 91 toyota pickup. Now that im 45 I enjoy a smoother ride lol.
Once again any input would be great thank you in advance.

3” lift in the rear. Stock shocks. Stock springs? You are abusing the shocks.

3 inches of lowering. Some of us enjoy the low life.

I have shortened shocks on mine with the 3 in blocks to make make sure they're in the appropriate stroke length so they're not bottoming out.

Update: Installed the monroe MA-777 air shocks and what difference in ride. The ride is a lot more plush. I still bottom out on big dips and speed bumps but for every day driving its a great option. I am currently running 35 psi on the air shocks. I will attach some pictures later today
