Dual battery DC to DC charger

    Man it is tough to reach the positive terminal on the alternator on a 2021 V6. So we HaVE to connect the charging wire to the alternator even tho it is “electricly” on the same cable as the batter positive terminal???

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Just what are you trying to do?

    Most Dual battery Systems run a battery isolator to charge the batteries.

    To keep them both from drawing down at the same time.

    Unless your dealing with factory installed dual batteries.

    What brand? The DC to DC charger I have is connected to the battery positive terminal

    If I follow you.... The only difference between the battery + terminal and alternator + terminal is the wire between them, so yes, you are fine hooking up to the bat + instead of the alt +. But per Bivy don't you have a charge controller between the two bats?
