BS Policy

I understand making people wait until they have 50 posts of substance as the error says to post stuff for sale in the buy sell trade section.

It total BS though that I am not allowed to post a thank you after ordering something from an innovative member @sphinxbccp for his license plate glare idea.

Good ideas should be encouraged. I understand not wanting a free-for-all in the BST thread but not having the ability to publicly acknowledge someone is bs.

So thanks @sphinxbccp for the idea and the quick service. Ordered at 2 am and it shipped out at 755 am. Another veteran making a difference.

 

On a positive note, only 9 more posts to go!

 

Its a issue with filtering, you cant moderate every post to see if its a thank you or a sale post. So all posts from under 50 people are blocked regardless of what they are.

 

You could just come back after 50 posts like the rest of us to post that thanks in the appropriate forum.

Yeah I understand that totally. I’ve always been one to buck the system. Didn’t mean to ruffle anyone’s feathers or offend anyone. If I did I can’t take it back so the post police can put me in time out if they want.

Didn’t know about the filter. Good info there. That would have made me think differently about the post but oh well live and learn. I’ve got a lot of living to do so I’m definitely not done learning. Thanks for the education.

I read that and was confused as well. I have bought an exhaust from @scottc , a plate holder from @ACEkraut , led fog lights from @SVigg236 , and got info from @RippNSh!t to buy a seat delete after the holidays, and the switch mount from @switch . Each time I tried to reply to their posts saying I was interested it gave me the red box warning and said I needed the post count. I got around this by starting a private conversation. I think the filter comment was spot on.

 

I don't. Make it 20 post to be able to sell.. It took me forever to get to 50 without doing bs spam posting, welcoming new members, or asking petty questions that are answered on this site already. 50 is waaaay too much IMO.

My brand new, 15 miles on the dash, truck had the mudflaps, blackout badges, OEM grill, whole rear bumper, bed rail tiedowns, and hitch reciever (+ a lot more items that I can't remember at the moment) thrown into the landfill because I wasn't allowed to post in the B/S/T to give them away for free.

I definitely get the frustration, it took forever to even get up to the 50 mark since I mostly just read. I've been on here 8 years and don't even have 750 posts and most of those are from my for sale thread! I get the reasoning behind the minimum post requirement though, too many scammers now a days! But I appreciate you!
