Hi guys, I have some questions on wheel spacers. Just entered the 285 game. 3" lift. Im rubbing a little on the inner Rocblock mudflap area at full reverse lock and offroad i believe. Before i try to start trimming things. Would wheel spacers help me at all ? Would it give me any more clearance at that edge ? Like a 1.5" spacer? T Y

Wheel spacers would make the issue worse as they'll increase the scrub radius (wheels will move further forward and backward when turning). Looks like you're running JBA's, so you can have an alignment done to increase the caster to help them not rub in the rear or start trimming the shields, just need to find a competent alignment shop that knows how to adjust the eccentrics.

Got special alinment done yesterday. Best he claimed he could get was 3 degrees of caster each side. And i am running JBA UCAs.

Interesting... with my JBA's I can get upwards of 5 degrees if my shop cranks the eccentrics up. I know every truck is different but that seems very low for those arms if they're the high caster version. If you're still rubbing after that all you can do is cut. I'm at 4 now and it only rubs up front in reverse.

I was hoping to get around 4.5 caster. Running Eibach stage 1 on 2nd clip, with 1/4 lean spacers both sides.

Wheel spacer will make it worse. Flip the RokBlokz L-bracket around, and use the rear mounting hole on the cab mount: https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/19759829

So they didn't touch the eccentrics at all, just corrected toe.

Definitely didn't. Maybe they were seized or something, but if you get a shop that knows what they're doing that should be a breeze for them to adjust.

Just removing that rubber spacer in the rockblock bracket is helping, im out in the rain messing with it now.

You likely will need to cut the lower part of the inner fender and remove any mud flaps. Some get it to work but I found that any flap was removed and I cut whatever it rubbed on the inside. What offset wheel? That could also make it worse if its a lower - offset. I think i saw spacers which is the same and make it worse. I had rokblokz and removed them or they got ripped off it was one of the 2. but no flaps up front as you go biggger.

Op, I have a very similar setup. I have the Eibach Stage One (I’m on the first clip) with taco lean spacer just on the driver’s side. I also have JBA upper control arms and Rokblokz XL flaps. I think my caster is around +3.8 degrees.

I’m running 16” Ray 10’s -12 with 265-75-16’s but have been considering making the jump to 285’s.

Are you hitting the cab mount at all? What are your wheel specs?

Hope you get it sorted out. I know some have used the 2nd hole under the cab mount to pull the mud flap further back for more clearance.

    16x8 0 offset.
I am pulling these rubber spacers and tightening these up, already seems to be a little more clearance.

OP, glad you’re getting it sorted out. Do you think you’ll still need a CMC for off-roading when you flex the suspension more?

They sure do look good. I keep going back and forth in my head. My 265’s do everything I need with zero headaches, but the 285’s just look so damn good.

4.5 degrees will rub like crazy on the front of the bumper if it's all stock. I think you'd be happier with around 3.5-3.7 deg.

I'm a 17x8.5 -10 offset and rub the fronts at 4, need to go back and have them reduce it a hair. Rubbed like crazy up front when i was at 4.6 after making some suspension changes a while back.
