Yeah. I’m not risking falling off those cliffs on Bennett. Lol

I was looking at the elevations and Kinzel seems to be 4400-4600 for most of it (Bennet pass snowpark is about 4700 I think?). There aren't any true shelf roads but it does have some narrow sections that follow the ridge. Not even close to Bennet pass scary but enough snow would make it off camber with significant consequences. All that is assuming they don't lock the gates to the Trillium Basin area... it is a popular cross country ski area that they seem to lock down pretty early.

Per the forest service tables, it is still open. With that being said, I am not super excited if there are still steep hills. I have no desire to wreck my truck. Also it depends on the snow. If it is fluffy, it is usually tacky too. If it is wet and icy, no bueno.
There is also still creek road and the rock pit and roads around trillium.

I think they sell them at the store right by the Dunes. I bought mine at the Ace Hardware in Pacific City though.

i snagged one at Sargent's on Foster. My only concern is it's an ATV triangle flag, and the FS website calls for a 8"x12". Or is this one of those laws they dont really enforce?

"Flags & Tags: No OHV decal on truck, car, motorhome. Red or Orange Flags (8”x 12”) must be displayed 9 feet above the ground on all vehicles"

Hey guys, read through this thread, cool stuff! I dont have much to add but i grew up in western OR(west hills of portland)...my reason for posting- Im looking for my old truck...and 85 on 49s, all toyota running gear. When i sold the truck it was olive drab and had giant marlin stickers on it. The kid i sold it to put a flat bed on it i think but i left it with removable bedsides. This truck had all the goodies...dual cases, detroits, the front end had extensive work done to it most noticeable the 6 shooter nuckles... id like to find this truck if it hasnt been parted out..
