Has anyone installed flush mounted Baja Designs S2 lights in the body below the A pillar?

I installed a pair of side lights using magnetic mounts and MICTUNING C2 Curved White LED Rock Lights - I didn't want to use A pillar mounts because that obstructs snow removal from the windshield and the webbing used to secure my canoe.
    upload_2023-1-2_19-54-21.jpg

But I'd really like to use Baja Designs S2 Flush mounts in this position to get more lumens and an even lower profile. Here's the mount I made:
    upload_2023-1-2_19-56-20.jpg

And here's a mock up of how the S2 would look:

    Has this been done?

I'm looking for tips on how to best cut the body and mount the lights.

Have you looked into the flush mount mod into the mirrors?

I have a Yakima rack on the ARE Z-Series that I use for my canoe and a Thule cargo box. So there's no room for a rack on the cab and I wouldn't want that anyway. I don't like the look of all of these lights mounted onto the truck by brackets everywhere. Poking out like mushrooms after a heavy downpour. I want to do something more subdued. For example, rather than mounting my Baja Designs S1 cornering lights with brackets from my bumper, I went for a flush mount:

Yes, I have looked at flush mount in the mirrors, that would be more like a 45° mount which I decided would be better on the front bumper (less glare on the hood). I'm looking to mount lights at 90° near the A pillar.

I would look into paint matching all the metal parts of the lights. Still going to look like a pimple on the truck though

I guess I should not have used the term "bolting" when I meant "attached by a mount that causes the light to stick out exposing all sides of the light". I don't want lights sticking up or out of my truck if I can avoid it.

    I've already got rock lights.

Here's my light 9-switch console for context.

I’m planning to do something similar but mount it to the front area of the step bar or slider. Your front wheel will throw dirt, mud, and stuff converting the lens when you drive. A mud flap would fix the issue.

Maybe it might get knock off while extreme off-roading? Maybe. I know I’m not doing any extreme off-roading so it’s not an issue for me.

I would say ditch light that can mount (2) pods per bracket. One front racing and one side 90 degree facing. Just my opinion on what I would do

    Example:

Do they also come ON when selecting turn signals? (Proper cornering lamps)

The hood mount brackets do make it a tiny bit harder to brush snow off but not by much.

I'd rather spend another 2 minutes clearing snow than cut and drill the body panels for a surface mount.

I'm trying to avoid mounting lights like that. I want to be able to easily sweep snow off the windshield & I don't want glare on the hood either. Since I have forward facing and 45° lights in the bumper, I'm just looking to place lights at 90° near the A pillar.

I have been considering Baja Designs flush mount S2 Pro's mounted in my tailgate as backup/back off dust lights.

I think a pair of S2 on ditch mounts would do what you want with no drilling through the sheetmetal.. Much cleaner and lets you remove them, or upgrade them yourself in the future.

I use Squadrons, I don't find them intrusive at all.

I didn't know that was a thing. But these would be too bright for that.

Look at Rigid Ignite, you can flush mount them in the bumper, super bright, very little draw.
