Ok my itch is itching me to spend $$ I do not want to spend BUT?

I go Fishing So my 2023 TACO will have to be a FISHY TACO?
Well things get dirty and yes I have a fishing dog as a fishing guide ( I only have to feed this guide with a few pets along the way )
I was wondering if anyone has found a good set of seat covers to protect my new seats?
    any recommendations ?

Neoprene or heavyweight fabric? There’s several threads on this. The better the fit the harder they are to pull out and hose off. Have you got floor liners yet? Husky and weather tech are the two best of those and pretty much “tub” the foot wells.

If it’s a double cab look into a hammock in the rear for the dog, both cheaper and easier to take out

    Cheap (sub $200): no idea
Mid range price (~$500): PPR or Clazzio
    Expensive ($1500-2000): Katzkin

Edit: if you don’t need “seat covers” and just want a good cover for your back seat to protect from moisture and dog, I put this in for $20 and it protects from my kids muddy feet and spilled drinks.

Katzkin aren't "covers". You must strip all material feom your seats and re upholster them with new material.

I like my Carhart from Runnings at $59 each. Not the greatest fitting but are durable and they pop out easy for cleaning.

    Cheap Bastard ?
Well maybe so! I think that comment depends on how rich you are! or do you buy everything on a credit card

I got the all Weather floor liners and door sill protectors on my tacoma, but I do not want cheap but do not want to spend big bucks
so I guess I am a cheap bastard!! But I do not pay by credit card and I paid cash for my truck.
I do not know what is out there that will hold up ?
Neoprene I think would be ok if you only drove your truck to work and back
But fly fishing and wearing waders and being wet from going to one spot to the next i think something heavier!
I just thought there was or is someone here would have gone down this road and knew what would be the best and nice looking with out
having to break the bank or be a cheap bastard!

    cheap bastard Bill

Lol, my assumption was you would be paying cash OP, hence the budget question. Glad you are a pay cash guy like myself. If I thought you were a credit card junkie then who cares what it costs, charge away!

Oh, if the dog is a back seat only passenger, then consider the hammock style as already suggested. Tough and affordable. Check them out you cheap bastard! :)

Get the vinyl Clazzios. There’s an entire thread on TW about them, and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The vinyl covers aren’t the most expensive version, but are durable based on the reviews. I have the leather inserts, and don’t regret my purchase.

Welcome to the cheap Bastard's club lol!
I too pay cash to save on interest, and other savings which is how we get the cash in the first place hehe!

That said, I'd just as well go to Walmart and something I can put on when needed and wash it when done

    Cheers!

Just trying to protect my investment!
I was thinking of maybe spending about 400 to 500 bucks for front and back
Then a dog pad for the front and back
I had tried Neoprene seat covers before and well they were junk but that was years ago!
when you go to the parts store or a chain store all they have is the cheap shit
buying online ? Well you can't feel what you are buying but people do
Like I said just thought someone here has been down this road and could offer up there opinion

They are pretty good. Most people dont even know that they are seat covers. I will say that it looks a little weird on the driver seat if you have the powered seat controls. I cant be ask to take my seats off or apart to get it to fully fit but it doesnt look that bad

I don't have my Taco yet (hope by the end of the month!), but I've been hauling dogs for a long, long time. After trying many different products, I'm currently using dog hammocks by Saibolo that I got from Amazon (currently unavailable, sorry) for about $33. I got two, so I can swap out.
They came pretty near waterproof (one of my dogs drools a lot in the car), but when I washed them I added additional waterproofing in the washer that I got at a local marine supply place. The only issue I have is that they don't protect the doors, so I'm looking for a product that will do that.
My plan is to fold the rear seat down, add some padding (probably a blanket), then hang the hammock. Except for the door panels, I expect this to completely protect the seats.
I don't plan to let them into the front seat at all.
Oh, I have a pair of dogs that weigh about 80 pounds each.

I have put Iggee covers on my taco and had them on my vette. https://www.iggee.com/

20221106_120953 (1).jpg Synthetic Leather. Many color combinations to choose from. They improve the comfort of the seat as well.
