Yeah, I really want to like the idea of electric.
But the last Honda push I had spoiled me. No choke, and started 3 pulls or less every time

But like I say, Up until now, my experience has almost all been on commercial riders.

    Thanks for your input.

Yeah that last Honda I had was amazing. Built in like 1982, first pull every time. Literally the only gas push mower we had my entire life. And I typical Honda fashion, the transmission was dead

But since my current house has a very attached garage I wanted to minimize the amount of fumes I had in the garage, and the ego folds up real nice so it hardly takes any space, electric really made a lot of sense.

This house has an attached garage. But I’ve never had a garage that wasn’t crammed full of stuff.
I made a big lifestyle change, I minimized. And maybe, just maybe, I will actually get to park IN the garage:rofl:

if I didn’t already have a big Milwaukee and Ryobi battery collection I would have explored ego more. My neighbors ego is nice but not self propelled. The Milwaukee mower is $1000, the good Ryobi one is $450? The Stihl mower looks great but I got too invested in Milwaukee.

I looked at the makita mower since those are the tools I have. It was 4” narrower than the ego, and 36v instead of 56v. Would have resulted in more time to mow and less capacity, so I’m happy with my choice

Lowes has the EGO 650cfm blower with 5Ah battery on sale for $249 until August 31. Lowe's card takes another 5% off too.

Thinking about getting one with a stubby nozzle/blower band for car drying. :notsure:

The blowers work great. They have a new 765 handheld if you can get that one...

Also, PSA, local landscaper informed me that the EGO batteries will go bad if you repeatedly pull the trigger after the battery has died (to get an extra couple minutes). Apparently, there is a low battery switch in the battery that can malfunction if it keeps getting triggered.

Also, the new batteries with the circular voltage indicator are "apparently" much more powerful then the old batteries.

That, and if you ever have a problem with the battery, you can reset it by holding the button for 10+ seconds. It may need to be on the charger while doing it.

I went first ego string trimmer (I think more power than my prior 2 stroke gas one)
    then ego hand held blower
    lastly ego hedge trimmer

I really like them all and would recommend.

Last outdoor cordless tool I got was Dewalt 12" chainsaw. I have a Stihl MS250, but it is heavy and messy to carry on hikes. I wanted something that I could carry every day I hike in a backpack for trail maintenance even if I didn't use it. The Dewalt fit that bill better than the ego chainsaw offers. It is pretty incredible too for its size and simplicity.

I went ahead and bought it today. Stubby nozzle with green blower band should be here in a few days from Etsy. The EGO 750cfm model was another $85 or so plus tax for an extra 100cfm, so I didn't see the value. It's charging now, so I'll test it later. Cons so far are... 1. Battery charger has a built in fan and is rather noisy. o_O 2. It's nose heavy with the long nozzle, but I plan on using it with the stubby nozzle
    only. :notsure:

I've still got my Stihl BR450 backpack blower for other needs. :D

Bought a new Ego mower a couple days ago. Super impressed with it. Have just enough time to mow my lawn with the 7.5ah battery. Threw the battery back on the charger, did some trimming and raking, tossed the mower in the truck and went to mow the lawn at the rental house and finished that up with the battery only at 50% or so.

Just loading in and out of the truck sealed the deal for me. A million times easier than it is with the gas mower.

I think I'll probably get the 2-Stage snowblower as well pretty soon.

Same on the mower, I have the single stage snowblower for clearing my walkway during these Montana winters.
Let me say, the 40 foot throw distance is assuming clean powder. When its gotten a bit slushy or its a day-old pack I can be lucky to get 10 feet of a throw.
But, with that said, I did spring for the version that has the metal first stage instead of the plastic and for what it's worth it's been doing a great job.
The only bad part is that I'm starting to rough up the base of the unit from scraping it too hard on the concrete when trying to break up the ice.

I couldn't pull the trigger on the Ego snowblower. I just have too mucb driveway between the two houses and didn't want to buy a ton of batteries or wait for the to charge. Just bough a Toro gas blower.

Anyone here ever bought a refurb from Acme Tools? They appear to be an Ego dealer and the reviews are good.

I'm fairly invested in Ego for garden tools and need a chainsaw for occasional use. They have a smoking deal on chainsaw with 5ah battery for 209.

Wondering if they are handing out crap batteries with used tools or if it is all coming legit from Ego.

If anyone has 1st hand experience with used Ego from Acme a review would be great.
