I’ve been looking for a camper shell for my 2012 short bed. I found a deal that’s incredible but it needs some work.

A couple of the lips that get clamped to the bed are broken off. Is that fixable? If it is how much would it likely cost me?

    thanks!

I haven’t had a chance to check it out in person as it’s about a 2 hour drive from me but it looks like the lip on the driver side and the part that goes up against the cab have snapped off so there’s nothing to clamp to.

I'll take a pic of mine and what I mean. Judging by the pic it looks okay.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Did the seller say the cap was broken? The cap clamps on the sides, not the front and make sure you get the clamps. Good luck!

The above mentioned c-clamps should work. Seller is hopefully knocking the price down for the damage.

BTW that damage happens because somebody tightened the bolts too much

If you look at the second photo the lip is snapped off on the side. He did say that it was broken which is why he’s selling for $200. Killer deal if it’s repairable but I’m concerned it won’t be.

Issue is in the second pic the railing on the shell is snapped off so I’m not sure that would work.

I think it will still work. As long as the 'ledge' that sits on the bed sides is there it will clamp with the ones in the link. I'd buy/borrow the clamps and take them with me to double check it would work.

If it doesn't work, you can always return the clamps to Amazon!

If it won’t clamp down on the sides safely… forget it. Nice parts cap, though. I walked away from the first two caps I looked at and I’m glad I did. Good luck!43597749-8F2E-4954-B528-CBC548948410.jpg

Nice shell! Yea I’m handy but know nothing about fiberglass so I wouldn’t trust myself to do a good enough job
