Maybe check to see that nothing’s loose or rattling around in there. Some rattling trim, glovebox organizer, or maybe even the cabin air filter door is loose and could cause that noise. I would start there!

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Never experienced a "buzzing" sound in mine.
Can't discern it from your clip.
Does it change when altering the fan speed?

yep, pull cabin filter see if anything is in the fan. I also cannot hear it from your clip. I had a kangaroo rat get in mine. when you put it back together run it with out the cabin filter and box open to see if you can isolate it. then put filter back in and ck noise, then paper work then close the box etc.. of course murphys law says it will have nothing to do with the glove box.

Kangaroo rat? WTF? Sounds like a large rodent to me, rodents don't scare me but I don't like the sound of that!

cabin air filter. When I use the aftermarket HEPA filters I get vibrations from the air flow sometimes. I think the HEPA filters are too restrictive and can cause resonance. take out your filter and see if it goes away.

lol yeah you won't see them in Rhode Island. It's a desert rat. Cute as long as they don't get into the fan behind the glove box. Crawled in there when I was on a hunt. Had no idea until it started to smell. Had to pull the fan/box, take it apart and clean it like nobody's business. Then had to bomb the interior to get rid of the smell. All good now. Did not know until I researched here at TW, but apparently rodents of all types like to crawl into that space.

Update on this i took out the glove box and the noise has gone away. At least at the moment.

also truck only has 3500 miles on it.
No rats in truck thats someone else.

does not change when fan speed is changed.

noise starts when about 1200 rpm to 1700 rpm going over bumps makes it start then it just continues

this again. maybe the bumps are causing shifting of whats in the glove box. Unless you drove it with the box out. I ask about the lift since needle bearing can mimic these symptoms. but i would think you could feel that through the seat, though it can be subtle. i replaced with ecgs, but before that, slight vibrations in varying degrees at certain rpms. bumps would magnify the problem.

My brother noticed that if he put downward pressure on the glove box, his rattle stopped. He removed the pad above the glove box. He found that there were a few brackets making slight contact with the top of the glovebox and was able to wedge some foam or cardboard between the top of the box and the brackets. If you still have your glovebox out, you may add some felt tape to the bottom of those brackets before reassembling. Sorry I don’t have pics. If that doesn’t fix it, I think I’d explore the A-pillar/speaker cover rattle fix. Good luck!

Update on this. I replaced the cabin air filter and i think it is fixed. When i do not have the filter in there is no buzzing noise. So its either the filter or the filter cover.

did you use a normal style or HEPA filter? i find the HEPA filters are noisy, i think they are too constrictive.

How about the radio? When it's turned on can you still hear the buzzing?

I get a buzzing noise coming from the plastics where the diff lock and mts knob is only while moving. I just push on the plastic around there and it stops temporarily. Sounds like buzzing but it just rubbing or rattling a bit. My Tacoma OCD makes it worse my wife says she can barely hear it.
