I have all baja lights on my fiancé’s taco. I am in a club called the raptor runners( in sorry I drive a raptor) but son has a tundra and fiancé a Tacoma

Lol she want to add one of the remotes for the led to her truck.
In back I have a green baja follow me light mounted. It has a toggle switch in the car. I know how to add a remote to the lighting when it’s a new install. ( I did a remote on my side by side for winch, Rock lights and a follow me light ) the others are hooked up to a actual switch.
MY question is hiw can I hook up a remote to her follow me light, with it being already hard wired into the truck?

It all depends on the remote .

You have the receiver and transmitter ?

It is just a simple matter to to wire the receiver either direct or via a relay to energize the light circuit.

Without seeing the details about all I can say.

No I haven’t ordered the remote. Do you have one you recommend? That was my dilemma, I’m not sure which one she needs. if you have one that will work with hard wired as well. Please send me a link
    Ty so much

Find a remote you like and work and adjust things to work. So many on the market.

How much money do you want to get invested.

Things to consider how much range ? Something being used in the cab to energize lights rather then a switch ?? You want a range long enough to receive a signal a few hundred yards away?

    Why a remote?

Lol idk why either lol. She wants to be able to turn her follow me light on, when we are set up camping. It’s ridiculous but it makes her happy. I always bring my raptor so she has been coming with her truck. And it’s what she thinks is cool.
I’m not sure I don’t want a cheap one that’s going to burn out. Just like 50yards. So when she walks to the camper light pops on. If you have a recommendation I’ll take it.
Ty so much .you guys are way nice then the raptor forum. People are snooty and all know it all. It’s not like this.
My 20 year old is on a banshee forum and there super nice, one thing a lot of people asking ware do you like and stuff, looking for banshee’s too steal. He received a full scholarship to college in colorado. So my fiancé and I found a yellow/red banshee in texas. Bad shape. Had uship bring it to a place in albany and it came back like it was brand new. It’s been 2 years Little less. 2 stroke still running strong . People are so nice on that forum as well. Thanks again for taking your time to help
    Me.

Kind of a night light on the truck . Now I understand . Push the remote turn on the light.

I tend to deal with heavy duty industrial type things if my feeble brain does not get distracted I will take a look.

Just check out the offerings on Amazon Just search 12VDC Wireless light Remotes.

Many under $50.00 not like they will be used on a constant daily basis.

    Good luck .
