Short lived Tacoma ownership..4 months,Stolen from Commuter Train parking lot during the day, parked it at 5:15 AM to shortly after 12 noon.
My beautiful Taco is Gone ..was a pleasure to own and made me feel like a younger man everytime I got into it...sad,sad day...IMG_0042.jpg

    ***UPDATE***
After 3 weeks to the day the police have found it a short distance from where it was taken,in an underground parking garage.I think I know where it was found since it is mostly residential area and very few underground parking areas.
I don’t know why someone called the police and reported it,BUT am I glad they did.
Apparently from what I’ve heard from the police it is in good condition,as a resale was planned.
The thieves have altered the VIN number plates and erased the computer so that the factory fobs are not working. I know this because the police came by and picked up the keys from my residence to try and move it but only the physical keys work.
It was difficult to get the truck out of the garage since the tow truck was not able to get into the garage. It was moved out on dollies by hand so I was told.
I have gone to the local Toyota dealer and explained what happened and now I’m waiting for the police to finish up the investigation and release it.
I’m told it will take a couple of weeks to get it repaired.
I’m beyond excited since I was sure it was gone for good and have been shopping for a replacement for some time.
So don’t give up hope is the moral here I guess.
Cheers to all that have shared their thoughts.

There is hope. I've had two family members who had vehicles stolen, both of them showed up parked on the street less than a week later.

That really sucks. Was a beautiful truck.

Hope they can find it soon unscathed.

Sad part is it's probably already in a container in Montreal.

Thanks Everyone for the shared sentiments and support.
Great group to be part of,I have met some amazing people since owning this truck.
No news yet, both the authorities that are involved have a very secretive way of handling this matter and do not share any information.
I have contacted them and apart from giving me a report number they don’t disclose any details.
    Thanks again everybody.

It's gone out the Port of Montreal where there's minimal security checking containers. The police won't do anything. What are you going to do to prevent the next one from getting stolen?

Often thieves will leave vehicles in public areas for a week or so before loading it into a container headed over seas. It’s to ensure there wasn’t a tracking device inside that was missed. Rarely do cops find them (or even look at all), but owners with trackers will come get it. Don’t want to be caught red handed if they put a tracked vehicle directly into a container at the pier.

It's true the police won't do anything unless you have an eye on your stolen truck. Not with Ontario, Halton Police anyway. Had mine stolen. Toyota Services Connect tried calling the police for 4 days with updates and movements on my truck. The police didn't return any of their calls. Toyota kept calling asking if my truck was recovered and said the police weren't responding. They wouldn't tell me where the truck was because it was under "investigation" with the police. When I called the police they denied Toyota had called and said the GPS was most likely torn out or altered. Had I known this I wouldn't have reported my truck stolen to Toyota Services. Once you report it stolen they get the police case number and officer information, then your Toyota Connect apps stops working and gets labeled as "Stolen"

Title has changed to RECOVERED, did you get it back without too much damage? That would be awesome.
