I had actually looked at your post, it was helpful on version two! (not pictured above in my post). I did not purchase the ESI Super Cap Seal that you used as I thought the weather stripping they had sent was adequate but I guess not. The header rail gap I originally filled with outdoor caulk but it never set (specifically the areas that did not get sunlight). Someone mentioned that the header rail can be lowered to be a little more level with the bed rails so I may give that a shot, if that doesn't work I will be purchasing the weather sealing you listed and giving that a try. Lots of trial and error so far... ugh. Thank you though!

    UPDATE:
All the other areas (where the shell and bed meets), there were no leaks after all the butyl tape and RTV.

    BUT,
My windoors were still leaking and contacted the dealer. They have reached out to ARE and now requested to have me/dealer send it back to their factory. If they can't fix it, they'll make a new one and send it back.
Now I gotta wait 4-8 weeks to find out.

I would tell them send me a new fixed one or simply return it and get your money back and get one (another brand) someplace else.
4-8 weeks is BS and their problem not yours and mention that internet comments can be very powerful on others purchase choices so stop screwing around!
This goes for ARE and the dealer. But that's just me. Hope it gets resolved.

Tint, sliders, puddle pods, on my way to more….
What I’ve done and just did when my shell just got installed, like others are saying, I pulled the bed caps and siliconed under, pulled the header pc siliconed under that, at the two front corners put a tape dam down and siliconed it with black, there are a few drain holes on the front and back of bed floor that I plugged with rubber plugs(easily removed), all that seems water tight. In the back where the tail gate and shell window meet on both sides I see light and windoors appear to be leaking.‍♂️

I had leaky windows on a 3 year old ARE DCU and I discovered that they glass wasn’t glued very well to the frame. I discovered this by pulling the window out, laying it flat and pouring some water on it upload_2023-2-11_19-17-45.jpg
I then removed the rubber strip and saw the water getting through between glass and frame, it wasn’t glued well at the factory. The rubber strip that pushes in and surround the glass isn’t designed to keep water 100% out

I've always had minor leakage with camper shells. You mean some of them don't leak?!? I just figured it's the cargo bed on a pickup, be happy it's mostly out of the weather. On my current shell the sliding window doesn't latch properly so I get snow and ice in that way. And sufficiently heavy rain will eventually make it's way around the rear door.

Does anyone have trouble with off-gassing smells inside their shell, I assume from the carpet liner and adhesive? My camper had been stored in a tarp so I assumed it was a musty smell, but Febreze made it worse. I just want some opinions before I go chasing my tail trying to get rid of the smell.

    Hey y’all,
I just picked up my shell from the warranty repair for leakage. (ARE CX Classic with OTR finish)
I was told ARE recently had switched to new sealing, but they did not account to test on OTR to see if the new sealing works good.
I don’t know how a company this big would make such a move on their production and not even perform a proto-review…
Anyhow… they switched to the original sealing that works with OTR now.

BUT, when I went to pick it up… it came back with a “new” damage…

Whoever worked on my shell at factory drilled the screw through when mounting the window frame…
So now, I gotta wait another 3 weeks for a new windoor to get here…
