I did what you mentioned with the original battery and it got discharged to where I couldn't get it back. I think these trucks just have more drain on the battery . I took it to walmart and they said it was good. Thanks

That's what I will have to do because its taking way too long to charge this battery back after it sits for a week. Battery tested good. Thanks

A good battery maintainer like the NOCO Genius 1 can make a big difference in battery life for seldom driven vehicles, mowers and the like too. They aren't very expensive at around $35, I have several that are in use year round.

I think its just something with your truck, mine sits for extended periods of time with no issues.

Mine really doesn't have issues other than it takes 8 hours to charge the battery after it sits a week using the 10 amp charger . It has never failed to start.
I am going to start driving it more this year. I was just comparing it to a Nissan I have sitting in the shop the same amount. It will charge in two hours after sitting for a week .
I may just leave the battery cable off for a few days to see how long it takes to charge.
I was always taught the only true way to test a battery was with a hydrometer after its fully charged. I still have one and may test this battery.

Its been sitting a week and the battery only took two hours using the 10 amp charger. I think all is good. Now to get out soon and start using this almost four year old truck.
