    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to provide an update on my Stryker tune experience.

Before getting the SC and the Strkyer tune, I tried a few other tunes to improve performance.

For some reason, they never really worked. It always felt like the learning process had only a short-term memory. Each driving experience would be wildly different, and the truck never settled into some kind of steady performance. It was super frustrating! I just assumed that this was normal and that a standard tune wasn't enough.

Once I had the SC and Strkyer tune installed, to my dismay, the same thing was happening! Each driving experience would be wildly different. Like, driving to the gas station would have different throttle response, gear shifting and performance than leaving the gas station.

I reached out to the Strkyer team and they were super supportive and helpful in trying to figure out what to do. Props to these guys!!

I FINALLY FIGURED OUT THE ISSUE

So it turns out that either my LED bar light or my Raptor lights were somehow affecting the learning experience. There must have been a bad ground or something that was affecting the ECU because as soon as I remove them completely, within a week the truck started to settle down and now it drives the same way every time.. WTF.

Now that I've had a few weeks with the tune, I am SUPER IMPRESSED. This is the way the truck should be from the factory. I am loaded with 33s and a ton of heavy mods and I can cruise up hills in 6th gear a 1.5k RPM and it just pulls. It pulls! Truly amazing to have that much torque so down low. I love this SC+Stryker combo...

Anwyays.. props to the Strkyer team again.. and for those of you on the fence. The SC on it's own is garbage - you need this tune to really take advantage of the boost

Anyone get a V8 4Runner tune? Curious what the details are and if it can be customized for things like aftermarket cam shafts and long tube headers.

For the Stryker tune for a 3rd gen M/T Mag SC install - do I flash that on my own? Or do we have to meet up somewhere?

As @Shellshock mentioned, both options are available.

All Magnuson kit customers for the 3GT receive a VFTuner flash kit as part of their purchase. You can either purchase just the tune pack from us and use our tune guide with your flash kit to tune your truck, or you can receive a flash service from one of our networked tuners.

Mr Juan Garcia met up with us right here in El Paso this past weekend to get updated from his already immensely torquey 90mm pulley YotaWerx Stryker supercharger tune to the 87mm pulley tune! Mr Garcia's beautiful Tacoma is now benefitting more from the increased low end responsiveness and power from his 87mm pulley and tune, and the extra bump in boost pressure will be useful for his frequent trips to higher elevation.

Do you have a timeline on when the tuner in Kansas will be ready to go?

Well, that was true for me till winter hit and the already impaired efficiency of the 87 mm pulley and tune were further diminished. I swapped them and reflashed the 90mm tune till summer. it made a big difference. with my commute, I can't live with 15mpg for whole tanks mostly 65mph/HW. W/ the 90 back in its almost 18.
That said, get the pulley and tune for occasions and seasons when its appropriate. Cuz its a big jump in power.

Good insight! I already get so so mileage, but I see your point on changing like seasonal gas! Great idea!

I’m getting this tune but wanted to ask about the reliability, will it push things too far? Or is this tune just making things the way they should be? Thanks.

I've been running this tune since he launched it and have had ZERO issues. Am currently running the 87mm pulley and tune but some sort of update\pre-release (2.0VVT) that I'm not sure if @mZiggy has officially released yet, but boy is it good!

In addition, we're in the triple digits for trucks running this tune, demonstrating it's dependability on a large scale.

As @Murd3rd noted, we're working on a large update as well that we plan to release this year.

I’ve been running the Stryker tune for the better part of the year now, zero issues, great reliability. Only difference from stock is that it’s way better!
