I have a vibration when idling. I have a feeling it's this bc it looks a lil oily. Maybe a bad seal or something but IDK what this is. Any help is appreciated

Hold on.. you're trying to tie a vibration to an oil leak? I am not sure I am following.

The 2nd Gen suffered from a rattle vibration at the bushing on the upper steering shaft. I could be that. But you have to access it from the bottom snide of the truck.

As for the leak. I know of nothing in the steering shaft that can leak.

For a Idling vibration I'd be looking at such things like engine/A/T mounts among other things

Don't know. I have an idle shake that goes away when i turn the wheel or accelerate. I looked around the engine bay and this is the only thing that looks weird to me. It's all oily for some reason but maybe that's because of something else i should be looking at.

I’d be looking for a loose air intake hose clamp(s) some have been reported them as loose from the factory, dirty air filter, faulty PCV valve, dirty battery terminals as being things you can easily spot or check. The next step might be to visually check the MAF sensor for any sign of dirt/oil.

After that, it may get more complicated by hooking up a pro scanner and looking at system voltage fuel & sensor values and such.

When you turn the wheel, the engine rpms go up a little due to added load from the power steering pump. That's why the shake goes away - engine speed is increased past whatever resonance at idle. It doesn't mean the shake is caused by steering.

If the truck has more than, say, 50k miles on it, try cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor.

It's all good. When I purchased and drove home my Tacoma, there was a rattling from what I thought was the dashboard. Turned out it was my visor was not clipped all the way in and vibrating against the plastic holder.

The hoods have been known to shake, at least on some '16 models
