I should have saved the money up front on the XPlan Ranger 4x4 and was able to order as exactly I wanted. I am sure with my luck the politicians will kill my resale value.

Neither are from Japan. I've worked Japanese and they're very meticulous about stuff.

I don't think they will kill the value... I hope not. In that case, I would sell it and move on.

Don't get me wrong, not saying Japanese are perfect either but that the OPs hood is so bad I can't imagine Japan letting it slide on final inspection. But the way the car market was last couple years with supply chain issues I suppose anything is possible.

I know... Like I said on previous page that I said all vehicles have ups and downs...

So no one is perfect on things... I don't care as long as value is good enough to me.

Hey guys, I had a mild case of the passenger side hood gap and I think part of the problem might be the fender. I tweeked my fender a little to reduce this gap. It won't fix the severe cases but it made mine much less noticeable. Here's a pic of how I grabbed it to tweek it. It bends fairley easily.

No money, all went to truck...
the gap doesn't bother me so much as that wrinkle on the corner of the hood. that looks terrible.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
I took my truck in for service yesterday and started the same claim on my truck.

Showed the sales manager the issue, we checked the three new trucks they have on the lot, they started warranty claims on two of theirs.

I showed him the crooked beds, and he’ll be having service check for both of them at PDI and making claims then, so hopefully these quality issues can be fixed before leaving the factory.

Ok, so this is turning out to be a support group thread for OCD :anonymous:, myself included. I know nothing is perfect but I already know all the imperfections of my new 3 week old rig. I was just out looking at the damn gaps and noticed all the ends of the electrical tape coming loose on the wiring harness in the engine bay. Right then my wife walked into the garage and I was caught, she said “are you looking for more shit wrong with your truck! It’s that damn Tacoma forum you are always on!!!” Hello, my name is Michael and I own a Tacoma:rofl:

Body panels on mine are a thing of beauty. So nice to look at my truck in the sun and see perfect lines and gaps after years of GM and ferd products.

I noticed the same thing on my 2022 trd off road but I didn't think too much of it and pretty much forgot about it until I came across this thread. 20230226_074720.jpg
