Friday night looking like the perfect fireplace/whiskey night

@HAVOC snowed here this morning, already mleted

 

It also snowed here for about an hour and it stuck to the cars.

 

Never again. I see a car with this much rust, labor times are going to be doubled.

 

Talk about rust, was looking at hub replacement videos last night and the amount of rust on this tacoma is nuts. This guys needs more then just hubs.

That’s why it snowed this morning. A coworker just got back from Jamaica. He was there for two weeks.

 

Can someone explain to me how a house built in 1912 can have no signs of there ever having been a fireplace?
Central chimney, pie pan in the kitchen & another in the room behind the kitchen per floor x2 floors.

little coal stoves & gas ovens? I can't imagine building back then w/o a fireplace.
Somehow Youtube on the flatscreen just isn't the same.

 

There were industrial boilers dating back to around 1860ish. Not sure when they become more commercialized but a fireplace would make a home habitable when things fail, something people were used to back then haha. Thinking maybe the previous or much earlier homeowners needed a chimney rebuild and forgoed the cost, patched it and installed a cheaper wood furnace with a heater.

But just a guess working for an hvac company, my friend in Monroe bought a house from 1760, theres a damn fireplace in every room almost lol.

 

I always watch these videos and the shows on TV where someone is disassembling something on a car and I say "nice edit".
How about you show us that it took you a half hour to an hour to get something apart, or at least mention it.

I just watched that video full screen on my computer.

 

I was just talking about how I love the trq videos... makes me feel great about the rust on my truck. They do edit but do a better job than most telling what else is done to get you there.

I would rather watch real world repair instead of a new truck being used as an example.

I wasn't talking about TRQ videos but automotive videos in general. Thee's no way stuff comes apart that easy. It would be nice if they mention that some bolts and parts are hard to get out but they gloss over the fact.

I like strips better although I never used them.
