Is there a metal oil filter holder for a 2023 tacoma trd sport v6. If so what is the number or who sells it.
    Thanks

What's wrong with your stock canister?

Nothing I only have 3000 miles on it. I want to install it after warranty goes out and before it does go out

As long as you don't radically over-tighten the stock one, you won't have any issues with it.

    Why would it "go out"?

Not speaking for the OP but my plastic one cracked. Over tightened at the dealership. I do my own oil changes for the most part, but wasn't going to pass up free ones under the Toyotacare plan.

Nothing wrong with swapping the plastic one for the aluminum one. It's certainly not the worst popular mod here.

Exactly, anything can be misused and damaged. Even if the material is aluminum, steel, titanium, etc...

Yep, hence the replacement with a more durable material.
