    Just got done putting about a hundred miles on Chans tune I did in my driveway this afternoon. Completely different drive, smooth. Chan's customer service is top notch!

    Tune made me love the truck even more. Cut through “high wind” warnings like nothing with zero hunting. Noticed the difference immediately getting out of the lot and Chan is a standup dude. Highly recommend CVC tune.

    I’ve noticed that you are quite the pessimist on almost any thread you comment on. Cheer up! Poopy pants.

    I've got a bit of a question as someone who will likely be upsizing tires soon and already has the CVC tune on my truck. It looks like I can simply have the tune updated to adjust for tire size, but should I also be planning to get a speedometer calibrator (like Hypertech or Rough County) to adjust the speedometer/odometer readout on the dash?

    If you do 285’s I think it’s like a 2 mph difference if I’m not mistaken. Look on Google “tire size calculator”.

    chanvchau,

    Had my 2018 Tacoma CVC 2.0 tuned December 2021 by Michell at Blaze Off Road, Denver. Absolutely a night and day difference in performance and driving. Am considering a 2023 Tacoma for the March-April frame, will the CVC tune be released for the 2023s by then?

    Thanks
    Bob

    Is there any change to the engine specs on the 2023? If not and it’s the same engine I assume the tune would work the same as any other year

    @chanvchau

    Are there any upcoming meet ups in the Bay Area to get the Tacoma tuned?

    Please forgive me if I missed the info on IG or Facebook.

    Just got my '16 TRD Sport tuned by @chanvchau last Wednesday, and so far after almost a whole tank of gas' worth of driving I gotta say I'm GLAD I did this. I knew going from a '09 STI to a Taco would have a bit of drop in the performance/wanna go fast factor, but the tune done by Chan has made the transition a lot easier for me. Right off the bat, I'm noticing much smoother shifting points, especially when going up roads like Highway 17, a slight uptick in MPG (~<1mpg better), and a much easier time driving at freeway speeds (rolling on 285 Toyos). Before the tune, I wouldn't even bother with cruise control because it seemed to always be gear hunting just to cruise at 70-72 mph. Now, the truck absolutely CRUISES at 77 with zero gear-hunting, and even a slight drop in fuel consumption (even the lady noticed the change off the bat). I'm absolutely looking forward to this summer's deep Sierra camping trips now.

    Easily, the best mod I could've done so far. Chan was super helpful with questions during the install, and took the time to explain what to expect for the first few hundred miles as the ECU learns my driving habits. If you're on the fence about this, I would just do it. It's worth the price and improvements. Thanks again @chanvchau!!

    Stock with a camper shell for now.
    What was the price to take it to him
    And have him do it? I think this is something I may end up doing especially since he isn’t far from me.

    It was $450 to have him do it. Whole thing took 15 minutes? While he did his thing, I was able to ask questions and have any concerns addressed.
