coolant hose options?

    1996 Tacoma 3.4L V6 2WD 5-lug AT 5VZ-FE
    The coolant bypass hose with a 180 degree bend in it that attaches to the IAC valve has been discontinued. Part 1626162050.

    I have this silicone hose for it and elsewhere. ID is 5/16" (8mm).
    $37 HPS 5/16" ID blue high temp reinforced silicone heater hose 10 feet roll, Max Working Pressure 85 psi, Max Temperature Rating: 350F, Bend Radius: 1-1/4"

    Its bending radius is not good here. I have to position it carefully and hope it doesn't kink. Has anyone found something that bends better? Does rubber typically bend better without kinking than silicone? Maybe I should just find something with a thicker wall? I used the hose for a few spots to replace my worn out old rubber hoses.

    ...you can use extra line and loop it out futher.....even completely reroute like I did the IAC air feed......decongest whats under the throttle body a little....

    I understand yours is a little different....but same strategy....

    The only factory hose I have left on mine is that feed line that comes off the metal heater bypass line below and back of engine ......it feeds hot water into the egr valve.........

    that one's a little tricky with its two bends and its importance,.....so new oem there.....and I keep a new sealed in plastic backup one.....


    even the pcv line on mine is snowmobile fuel line now......

    Great, I could definitely route a longer section of this hose out away from the throttle body and solve the issue. I guess I got it in my head that the hose maybe was supposed to be about a certain length because of the timing of coolant flow. I don't understand how all that is handled, other than the thermostat opens up when the engine gets to temp.
