That's a great question. As far as a welded kits go, my business partner and I have talked about it before... Currently it takes us around 17-20 mins to shank bolts, collect parts, and package 1 kit. It takes my business partner, a professional welder, about 15-20 mins to properly weld tabs on a full kit. This would double our assembly time for each kit (not counting the time a kit would need to cool down before we could package it) and add a significant cost. We also figured since you'll have to weld them to your frame anyway you'll most likely own a welder, know a welder, or be at a shop with a welder. In the grand scheme +20ish mins for the customer isn't significant when doing the whole job.

That said, Solo Motorsports will be supplying our kits and last I heard they will have an option for a fully welded kit! The buddy I run KPO with is one of the welders there, so he will be welding them anyway (lol). I'm not sure what the cost difference will be but it should be a nice option if someone wants a pre-welded kit.

Our long term plan is to own a shop building trucks and developing more products, so maybe when that time comes we can offer a fully welded kit directly from KPO. We currently both have day jobs and do KPO related stuff on the side. We are really trying to focus on getting kits out as fast as possible and helping with any questions some of our customers may have. As 2 guys literally running KPO out of a cluttered garage and 1/2 a living room, we have to make some sacrifices here and there, lol.

Update: Just picked up all the bolts from our supplier on Friday! Next week we have a test install on a 5th Gen 4Runner in which I will take lots of pictures and make any tweaks required to the final design. Once we're satisfied I'll send a large order in for laser cutting and should have them within 1-2 weeks.

Did our 1st 5th gen install (same suspension as the 3rd gen) and it went really good! Only had to make 1 small adjustment to the cam tab plate but other than that it fir perfectly. I just sent in a large order for laser cut parts today so we should be seeing those in the next week or so!

I'll add some pics of the install in a minute, I'm currently working on an install video.

Back ones hang off the frame a little (so did the factory ones) so you can get a nice weld on it like this:

Just ordered a set of Octagons and bolts. I already have the TC Cam Tab Gussets installed, just want to confirm they work with those?

 

Yep they should work just fine!

 

Does the truck with this kit installled will need a special alignment shop to do the alignment, or any ordinary alignment shop will do?

 

Any shop *should* be able to do it but it probably depends on the tech. I usually recommend independent alignment shops as chain ones are hit or miss.

Nice video and product! After hitting a bad pot hole yesterday, it bent a cam tab and somehow caused that bolt to be really tough to loosen. Similar to how cross threading feels.

I know you’re not going to sell them mainly welded but I figured I’d ask if you have any pre welded kits available.

 

Yup those OEM cam tabs are worthless lol.
We don't offer them welded but I can talk to my business partner and see what he would charge for a welded kit.
