It was built some time ago so the parts are outdated. Doesn’t matter to me as I play older P.C. games and it’s still pretty fast for being old. I’ll post the specifics when I get home.

Woke me up out of a sound sleep last night when the front blew in and then at like 445am while in the shower I could hear it over the water running. The fact that out house is the tallest in the neighborhood and the oldest doesn't help. Plus being just off the northern end of a 7 mile long lake that runs north/south in a valley doesn't help. That wind out of the south gets funneled between the mountains and races up the lake before slamming into us.

Fortunately we don't have any cars in the house with T-belts anymore but I'll keep that in mind.

This house was built in the 50’s tongue and groove thruout sturdy for sure. We had to insulate the floors and the siding came with insulation foam boards that slide in behind the louvers real snug fit. But the outside walls although tight have very little insulation. Back then they used a a foil backing to the outside of the sheet rock. We should get the walls blown in with foam. But we haven’t yet. Might be a good idea if natural gas stays the way it went. Sky high.

Speaking of timing belts which most manufacturers recommend changing at 105-120k miles. The 2nd gen taco has a timing chain. How long do those typically last?

Normal operation, probably life of the vehicle. Don't usually stretch out like the old ones.

Deus Ex, Homeworld II, Imperium Galactica II, Tachyon: The Fringe and Skyrim. I haven’t completed them except for Deus Ex.

I bought the Homeworld II collectors edition and it came with the mothership and other items. I'm also looking at getting the new Homeworld III collectors edition.

Homeworld and Imperium Galactica are pretty involved games so for a mainly first person shooter fan as myself I find them a little tough to play. What's nice is having "2D surround" working where the game is taking up all three displays at the same time. Space games look amazing with that much screen real estate.

    EVGA X99 Classified motherboard
Intel i7 6950X Extreme Edition CPU
    64GB Corsair Dominator DDR4
2 nVidia GeForce GTX1080 video cards
    Samsung 980PRO M.2 SSD (1 TB)
2 Western Digital Black 2TB HDD drives for storage
    Corsair AX1200i PSU

CPU is cooled by a Corsair iCUE H150i RGB ELITE Liquid CPU Cooler
    video cards are air cooled

This is all housed in a Corsair 7000D case. The parts are installed and I'm currently running the wires to make it neat and tidy.
After that I'm going to do a full Windows 10 reinstall. One HDD will be used for general storage and one will be used for game storage.

(I might buy a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 drive and stick that in there before the install)

I recently bought and installed an iCue Nexus by Corsair. Can't wait to try it out. I like gaming in full screen and when I do I can no longer see the time (I don't want a clock on my desk). This will help along with giving me other options. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/CORSAIR-iCUE-NEXUS/p/CH-9910010-NA

and just so there's no confusion, I built it

Love RE, haven't played the newer ones though. Movies are good too. Still have my Wesker's Report disc somewhere.

Seen him 3 times. Once in 2011 with Judas Priest..once in 2010 with Children of Bodom and Clutch..once with Down..I think 2013. Plus twice with Ozzy in 2003 and 2018.

    Definitely.

Would mean a few cuts in your sheetrock but worth it. I went that route in my kitchen 2015 remodel..was all old barnboard behind the paneling and drywall, I didn't want to start ripping that out though I was curious if anything was in those old walls. Wasn't that costly to rent the machine from what I remember at Home Despot. Or ask @AllTacosFloat for thoughts.

Until they break. And then it's not interference so no engine damage.

Unless you have a GM. They shit the bed in my 2006 Colorado at 70k, which GM considers normal.

I haven't played any of the RE games. If I remember they are all third person and I can't stand the way the "camera" follows the actor while playing. I only play first person for that reason. That and I'm more immersed if I'm seeing what the character sees and not watching one on screen. I do like the RE movies.

At least the first 3 yes. I want to say some of the newer ones might be different. Not sure though.

I do like FPS..I remember Doom when it was the rage, didn't own a PC but had it on PS1. That and Kileak, a mech FPS at launch time.

Insulation is always an afterthought. The only way to do any blown in insulation is if the bays are clear/ empty. If there is already some fiberglass in there it would have to come out to get a good fill in the bays.

That's where it can be a huge added cost. If you have walls with no insulation you can do blown in cellulose for short money. Usually lowes will give you a free rental with 8 bags or something.

Foam is the way to go for sure.... if you are opening up the walls.

Fun fact: if you do a remodel and have 2×4 framing the the only product to give R-21 in the space is foam. Any other product and you have to make your walls 2×6 to be properly insulated.

Only really matters if you have a building inspector or like doing things right.
