Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
As soon as you come home with the new one, you'll see the one you knew you had laying right out in the open. That's some bastard cousin of Murphy's Law.

But you'll never find that 10mm socket.

I have one and use the stink out of it. If it doesn't find a good home I will take it just to have one at each end so Jason (or whomever is handy) can get me out either way...

Also have a jump pack! I am bringing a bottle of good whiskey as well... no tool kit is complete without a little medicinal.

For tools and recovery I got some of the same. I don’t go anywhere without my tool box. I’ll have everything you need plus breaker bar in tools except for those bigger sockets. 30+. Got first aid kit. Was going to ask about hi lift Jack but saw it mentioned.

I do have a couple questions. I did my 60,000 mile service on my truck yesterday. Noticed I got a torn boot on my tie rod. I’m going to replace it and save it for a spare. You guys have any suggestions for aftermarket tie rods? Best to keep OEM? Other spare parts we mentioned. Should some of try us to find some more?

I have read that OEM are the best and Moog is next best, which is what I have for back-ups.

    Outter Tie Rod End
    Inner Tie Rod

Between a few of us we already have 3 CV axles and I'll have 1 inner and outer tie rod. Those are the most common things to fail (specially if you have a front locker). Really the trails we're planning on doing so far shouldn't be too hard on the trucks.

    Busy weekend here.
2 piece sleeping platform is done.
Finish the roof top box mounts.
    Drained and filled rear diff.
Come back into the house and toilet is leaking. Tear that apart and replace wax ring. Prior to going to Moab I want to replace the truck battery. Current one is over 5 years old.

I bought one this fall... fancy expensive Odessey AGM. Heavier but starts like a champ. Did NOT do the power upgrade for the alternator. I don't drive it much in the winter, so it sits and charges... Thats my two cents-go AGM. Heavier though... Very expensive too

Speaking of trails. Watched a video on steel bender: seems to me the ledge which seems to be the crux is not much worse than that rock @Supr4Lo and I found the first day at Tigerton. Vid showed a long bed doing it so not worried about Dan... food for thought on Thursday...

I agree with Pat, if you can go with an AGM. I got the X2 Power AGM from Batties Plus. X2 is a rebranded Northstar. Right now use code AUTO20 for 20% off. If you talk to @wi_taco he can point you in the direction for the voltage booster.

Steel bender is close to our camp ground. I think you can get to it from the Gemini Bridges Trail. Which I'm hoping we can squeeze in also. It's another good easy Campground to town trail.

I've been trying to stay away from AGM because of the weight and the voltage boost mod.
I do have plans for some lighting upgrades. I'll have to think about it.
Sometimes I think you guys work for the credit card companies.

If you change your mind, voltage boosters are from HKB Electronics: https://www.hkbelect.com/products/toyota/?model=tacoma&year=2013
24F AGM weighs about the same as a 27F lead acid, but going to 27F AGM will give you some extra reserve & depth of discharge. Yes extra weight, but not the worst thing to have for winching and lights.
I have a spare MK3 fixed booster I'd part with if you want it. I switched to the MK4 adjustable just because I wanted more fine-tuned control. I'd still run either one though.

If anybody would like me to snag them a campsite for Friday night, March 24th, I'll need your...

    Name
    Address
    Make/Model
    Color
    Year
    License #

I'll cover site fees for Fri. You can reimburse me when you see me. Send your info in a pm if you wish. Hopefully the campground will have enough sites for all of us. If anybody wants to share a site, let the others know. Some one may be interested.
But I need to know how many sites to grab Friday night.

@BoostdDSM Plan on meeting at Kwik Trip in Verona, WI on March 23rd. As of now plan on meeting somewhere around 1-1:30pm. Once we get closer I'll get your phone number so on that day I can give you a more exact time estimate.

I also added that Kwik trip to the agenda in the 2nd Post post to find it easy later.
