But I don't want to ruin the bumper.

I zip tied the plate to the grille for state inspection and it passed. So. :notsure: I'll just keep rolling with it.

Your bumper will be fine. I'll admit the plate won't look great held on there with two screws, but it's not that big of a deal, is it?

People mounting the front plate on their vehicle can be such a decisive issue. :D

Look at this bracket ford uses on the Bronco. If I had a Bronco I'd uses that bracket just so people could react to it.

I was joking. See picture. My front chin thing is held on by self tappers.

It was hanging down after AOAA and then fell off on a climb in Kentucky and I drove over it. Tossed it in the bed and slapped it back on later.

I really don't really care either way.

I dont run one on either my car or my truck. I've been laser'd from the front and pulled over in my car and not a mention of it.

Boulder CO traffic cops will fine you for not having a front plate. I don't see how this is a parking violation, likely something to do with revenue. Although it does mess with their ability to drive around and record plates so they know who to come back and fine...
I dont have a front plate on either of my vehicles, so I just got a dealer bag of Amazon. When I park there I open the hood, put the dealer bag (with my plate in it) around the latch and close the hood. problem solved.
I believe other cities are now doing the same :/

Not having a front plate is a silly fine. I def agree loose metal around my face is a no no. For some cops it’s a pet peeve & they love to write them other cops don’t care

I can’t imagine LE care that much with half the cars in the state with expired temp tags or no plates at all.

I made a front plate mount for mine - not wanting to go without as my daughter and wife also drive it - not wanting to hear it when/if they get pulled over. On the 2nd gen I had a plate frame that partially covered the registration sticker, my wife was driving and got a warning to remove the frame. I still hear about that today. Good to know about sports cars not getting pulled over, always wanted a different non-plate grill on the Audi.

I can't remember the last vehicle I've run a front plate on, been probably 10-15 years without issue. A fine is a small price to pay for a clean front end, Ill take the risk.

I was pulled over a few times in the Corvette for no front plate, but never ticketed. I ended up installing a plate mount.

Personally I would put a plate on due to not wasting LEOs time or giving them one more reason to pull my ass over.
