To be sure far more people were harmed by that crime of a finale than were ever harmed by insurance fraud.

Truck is still there to this day trying to make it up. Will become a dharma initiative taco and they will have to start it by pushing it back down the hill.

you know the one i am talking about!
if his insurance got wind that it was entirely his fault they may try to get out of the claim. after thinking about it it would be classified as a flood vehicle and considered totaled plus the engine damage.
bet the thread got taken down?

Maybe I'm just not thinking about it clearly... but if you have full coverage and you have an accident that's your fault... You're still covered, right? I obviously don't know the details of the thread, so maybe I'm missing some critical fact (like he sent it into the puddle on purpose to keep his wife from getting the truck?) - but if it was an accident, why wouldn't he (or anyone) be covered?

he was out on the trails and did not realize how deep the water was and just drove into it thinking he would just keep on going. you may be right but insurance company's will try an get out of something if they can.

Got it... Insurance companies are not in the business of paying out, they are all about taking in payments and denying claims. I totally agree. Duh on my part.

Depends on your policy. Read the fine print of your exclusions.

So if I fuck up from detonating a thermonuclear device, or fuck up on a track, or fuck up from intentionally fucking up, Geico won't cover my claim.

Notice how intentionally vague items 9 and 10 are, and how an insurance agent may interpret those two any way they wish.

The 'missing thread' sounds like I missed a good one. There is a similar thread going on right now where someone is asking for advice on using his 3rd gen to tow 4 head of cattle to a processing plant 170 miles away. I have no fault to put on the OP, I think they are asking a good question, but they may already have known the answer before asking... basically looking for 'confirmation bias'. That type of thread could come back to haunt a guy if something were to happen.

Welcome to TW. There's always an overloaded towing thread going on. I got too tired jumping into those threads to argue towards safety, since most the people who post them won't listen.

Just read an article about a dude in Australia who just got handed a prison sentence. He was towing more than double the axle rating of his trailer, flipped it, and wound up killing his passengers, wife and one kid. I didn't even bother bookmarking it, because I already know some ninnyhammer will retort with "lol, didn't happen in USA, doesn't apply."
