:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/roof rackers. My old 1978 Celica with a bike rack on top used to make an low-volume but awful-sounding moaning noise at about 45 MPH. Very eerie.

I'm in Warrenton VA this morning after having driven the Z4 here yesterday to deliver it to its new owner. We'll take care of business a bit later this morning, then he will fly me back home to Pennsyltucky. I haven't been in a small aircraft in quite some time and I'm really looking forward to it!

Good morning all! Calling for temps over 70 this afternoon here in PA. I need to avoid looking outside while I'm here at work later today lest I develop a case of anal glaucoma. Afraid if I see how nice it is outside I can't see my ass staying here.

Does your Tacoma have that "AC Amplifier module?" The old school was all the current flowed through the ignition switch, then to fuses, then the fan switch, and onto the fan. Modern ones use microprocessor-controlled FET switches. Less current flows through the switches, making troubleshooting a little harder.

Frustrating as my abridged manual doesn't go into detail other than a few basics. I suspect there is a separate HVAC manual, but these modules are old as there is no CAN BUS diagnostic for scan tools.

I have to admit it was much easier and faster to troubleshoot a 1981 Toyota Truck's heater blower. With "things working, then not working" I would suspect a ground lug is loose of corroded. Piloted bonded brushes
are nifty tools for cleaning up the connection points. https://www.browntool.com/Listview/tabid/344/CategoryID/246/Level/a/Default.aspx

A little something every chance we get.
    Short answer is maybe.
I seem to recall that the AC repair guy that tore up all my wiring had it on the list of repiar part. Can't find the emails, and I'm not digging out the paper. I also recall looking for that device (with no picutre of it) "near the blower box" during the AC repairs.
Doesn't matter. AC is fine. Blower is fine again. Actuator for Blend Door has been scared into submission after nicely wiping dust off the shaft. I have the part number now. Unlike the $19 one on hand that didn't fit, CORRECT replacement is $95. It's going to have to fail to spend that.
2007 is "mostly" CanBus. Tacoma was getting popular, and my SR5 Prerunner has an ODD collection of things that are in the harness, and things that are not. Like they wired parts of it to accept more options, and other parts not so much. If it's old school (i.e. Replace the part) I can do that. If it involves more complicated procedures - I have someone do it.

Good morning all. If you live in the mountain states I highly doubt you are sipping on a cold beverage sitting on the porch today. It's hard to believe that we could be doing that in 90 days. My friend called and invited me to go play Top-Golf this afternoon. I've been there many times before in cold weather but not 20" of snow. They have the heaters running 100% but is the driving range heated so the snow melts? We'll find out. Bringing my winter golf gloves.

My 87 year old mom is recovering in the hospital after complications from a surgery a month ago. I'll go see her this morning. I hope increased health and happiness come to you all today. If you are having troubles, count your blessings. Life is hard sometimes but never harder than you can overcome. Stay positive and have a great day.

    Afternoon all:

Again, wishing for a full recovery for your mom Bryan.

:yay: Picked up the refund for the safety deposit box this morning from a local branch of the bank, they could have issued one when I closed it, but guess that's too easy! :(

Anyone watching the Murdaugh trial, the guy is a real sleezbag but it may be tough to convict him of murder, will see!
I find it interesting that he decided to take the stand, most defense lawyers don't want that, but he's also a lawyer and knows the ropes!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I talked to my ex-MIL yesterday. She has (well, until next Tues.) a winter place in McAllen. She said it was 96* there and though she's not crazy about temps that high, she's not looking forward to coming back here. I told her it's supposed to be mid-30s by the time she's back and most of the snow should be gone (again).

LOL! 91* yesterday. 76* with a breeze today (great for yard work), and 52* tomorrow. She has it a little more consistent down there! But, that's what Texas averages are made of!

Yeah, what’s so good about it?
Daughter in law just woke me up. Says another car went off the road, flipped over closer to their house than the last one. Had to ring off ‘cause the cops just got there. Dunno if anyone hurt, she’ll call back. Our son coming back home from work also. They live in the gold country, twisty roads, and first big snow of the season. Been trying to get the county to put up barriers, maybe this time before someone is killed? Our kids especially!
