Hey, I'm pretty new here and I have some questions about turboing the 3rz/2.7. So I'm going to get the LCEPerformance high boost turbo kit which comes with everything except a intercooler which is fine but, I'm a little confused on how tuning. I know you can run 7 psi on stock computer but I want for I want to push 400 and dream would be 5 but, relisteticly no. LCEPerformance has stand alone wireing harness and ECU but it's 2,500 grand and I don't want to pay 6 grand just to have a turbo I might as well build a LS and push 800 hp for that kind of money I'm willing to pay I just don't want to get the wrong thing. Thanks

Welcome aboard. Your bottom end is good for about 300rwhp. Any more than that and the rods become the weak point with the pistons not far behind

Yup I know about what I'm going to do to the internals of the motor but I'm just wanting to know my options about tuning and ECU

6 grand for adding a turbo would be on the cheap side...

if you're going with a forged rotating assembly, there is no reason imo not to run a standalone like the Haltech with the SNP harness. That will allow you to get everything you can out of your motor. Talk to Gabe @ SNP speed innovations. He can remote in and tune your truck too
