Day to day, and even light wheeling, C for sure.

NMW where you're 100s of miles from a shop and cell signal - E :D

My friend actually has a set of KO2 16s he's going to let me use but mostly it'll be just for trips up to NMW, I have a shed I can store a second set of wheels in and have a second set of rims with TPMS so I might swing that this year and then decide.

I bought one of these for my basement. I'm working on lightly finishing it. My goal is to eventually move our 55" TV downstairs for a small exercise room and buy a 65" for our living room. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a proper sound system for the basement, so figured I'd give a sound bar a try.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Z39PXZC?ie=UTF8

It's pretty solid. The music/movies type modes sound a little odd and artificial, but in stereo it sounds pretty good for what it is. Definitely good enough for a basement. I wouldn't pay the full $300+ price for a non-refurb one, but at $150 it's a great deal.

Only odd thing is the mounting holes are 18" on center. Fortunately, I hadn't closed up access to the back of the wall yet, so I was able to screw some 2x4 pieces to the sides of the studs to get solid mounting points. Otherwise, just putting screws into 1/4" cedar would be problematic.

The stand I have for the TV in the living room happens to almost perfectly match my speakers and is designed for a 65". With the price difference between a 55 and 65 being so minimal, it makes sense to buy a newer bigger one for upstairs rather than a new 55" for the basement.

Can anyone in here give an out of stater an idea of how strict Massachusetts vehicle inspections are? Am I going to get rejected for things like high clearance bumpers, tint, lights, and too much wheel poke? Or is it a very case by case “if your inspector is more laid back” state?

They have cameras at bays. It is case by case but if you don't have a document from the doctor for tint and it's darker than I think 35 percent is the limit, it isn't going to pass.

It use to be inspector based, but with the cameras they have now it's a lot more strict. Bumpers are fine, you could have 2x4s for bumpers, just no sharp edges. No rot holes, tint limit is 35% and tires need to be flush or inside of the fender (I have small inspection set).

You will definitely fail for tires sticking out past the fenders, most likely for tint too.

    Pass inspection is different.

In RI, you have to have a front plate to pass. I passed.

Yea the inspection isn't as bad as NY, but the front end needs to be tight (ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings) no cracked or broken light lenses (this includes no moisture in them), cracks or dings in the windshield can't be bigger than a dime (free windshield through insurance with comprehensive coverage), ebrake must hold to 1200rpm I think, maybe 1500, no tint darker than 35%, no rust holes and they need to be permanently fixed (no duck taping them, but bondo slapped on is fine), tires more than 2/32nds of tread, front plate permanently on the truck (no zipties)

Totally depends where you go is the honest answer. The place I go passes me with wheel poke no problem but won't do tint..... there are plenty of places around where if you have your windows down when you roll in they will pass whatever tint you have:anonymous:

Cameras are good but not perfect

Stickers aren't usually a primary pull over offense. You can be pulled for it but most of the time if the vehicle is relatively legal looking they don't seem to care much

Anyone have a good 4x4 shop around Boston who also does inspections?
I’m leaving my nice driveway where I can basically work on anything behind and will be living it up without a place to work on the vehicle for most likely 12 months.

Poke and POKE are different, a smidge out is "eh, I didn't see it" then you have people with like 5-6 inches outboard. You got Poke. Not POKE.

    RI is fun.

If you buy a NEW vehicle (not sure on leases, but I know for purchase), it doesn't need to get inspected until 30k miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. Then it's every 2 years. However. There's no check of "this vehicle is >2 years old and has never been inspected" for registration. So if you buy a new vehicle, the state doesn't know that it's not inspected, and will just keep cutting registrations for it.

UNLESS you get it inspected. Once it's inspected, there IS a check of "This inspection is overdue, no reg for you"

PS - No inspection means your insurance can tell you to pound sand for claims.

At the peak of my Tacoma, I did about two years in Pa with no sticker (due to wheel poke and believe it or not, no mud flaps) and never got stopped. I’m actually in a tundra now but I like the advice here on Tacomaworld more lol.
