News alert: this was solved long ago, they are called Progessive/Helper Springs. Factory/OEM ride unloaded, heavy/overload springs only engage when weight applied. Progressive springs do not have to be lift springs.

As stated above, utilizing your equalizer bars should help out a lot and hopefully solve your problem.

    Good Luck

another possible less expensive and easy (1 wrench, 40 minutes) option:
Hellwig Products Helper Springs - Hellwig Products

I have Hellwigs, did a cross-continent trip overloaded by about 30% and the sag was only about 2"

I'm going to disagree with this part: "Factory/OEM ride unloaded, heavy/overload springs only engage when weight applied."

Yes, you can get more progressive leaf packs, but that means the spring rate goes up as more weight is applied (more leaves engage). BUT, that weight/pressure can also be from articulation. An unloaded truck with progressive leaf springs is not going to have OEM level of flex since the more you flex, the harder it becomes to flex.

If you want sag in the future, then AAL is the path to take. Your best choice is new leaf pack. You can also go to a local spring manufacturer and they can make something that will help you.

I can not speak for the Roadmaster and it's effectiveness.

With that trailer I think a properly setup WD hitch will be enough to level out the load and fix that sag.

As a couple of others have said, that WDH is not doing anything without the rest of it being put on like this:

The truck doesn't look that bad in your pic. Just put on the Weight Distribution Bars properly and you should be fine. WDH is far better than just beefing up the rear suspension as it helps to transfer the weight to the front of the truck for a safer, more controlled drive.

Ok update. Here is a photo after I adjusted again according to fastway e2 instructions. With blue sumo springs in rear my sag is about 3/8 inch in the rear coupled with wdh. My front stayed about the same height coupled with wdh than uncoupled. I am going to call it good enough.

Yep. Looks just about perfect. 3/8” is almost nothing and we’ll within what you are aiming for setting up your hitch. Now go camping!
