Any 1st Gen with an EMT/FF light bar on the roof?

I am going to be an EMT within a couple months and wanted to see people's setups with those!

 

Haven't seen any roof bars..but there's one or two threads of us with LED or strobe set-ups.. search Emergency Lights and they should come up.

Ehh I searchbarred it and came up with nothing...hence why I made the thread.

 

there are tons of guys around southeast WI that have emergency roof light setups on their fullsize trucks. some of them actually look really good. i have been wondering what Tacomas would look like with a similar setup. around here if i was to do a similar setup, i would just get made fun of, unless i blacked out my windows, lifted my truck another 6", did a front 4wd conversion, got 37" mud terrains, and did a v6- or 8 swap

 

My truck sits in the parking lot and I ride the BART to the calls.

Back in my more youthful days I ran lights on my POV and found they were more of a distraction and response danger to other drivers who were confused about what action to take. I quit running them.

Daily I see already "challenged" drivers who don't how to respond to a 20 ton apparatus with the latest sirens and looks like a UFO from Close Encounters. So in my POV, just traffic flow and no lights. I see more gains in citizen safety than any "possible" amount of time shaved from the response time.

I realize it's not what you asked for and your region might but be different but I felt inclined to offer. Regardless, one thing is for sure poor drivers are global......
