What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

For those that have ^ this ^ problem: Starlink . They now have in-motion capabilities. I have the RV (portable) setup as I don't need internet in motion.

Edit: part of the problem is that vendors advertise WeBoost as a solution to get better cell service "anywhere you need it" which leads to confusion.

Been years since I have owned a locked Tacoma. Too damn excited to say the least!

 

You'll want to secure those somewhere along the leaf pack so the pack bolts don't rub a hole thru them. I bent the crap out of my brackets and enlarged the mounting holes to secure them to one of the thru bolts on there. Need to come up with a better option but this works for now.

 

I'll bite. What is a rain tray?

 

Did you install that yourself? If so, how was the install?

 

The plastic tray underneath your hood right at the base of the windshield. It can get filled up with leaves and stuff.

 

Not the OP but those were my first projects also. The BAKFlip is easy as long as you have the right Torx bit (T30 I believe). There is a good install video on the BAK site. The one thing to watch for is to get the side rail (the one for the cover) pressed all the way to the front of the bed. I put a little extra weatherstripping in the small gap. It's an easy 1-person job but if you have a spare set of hands it will go a bit faster.
Edit: I did not need the weatherstripping for the front of the bed at all; the latest top edge is flush with the tops of the sides so you can leave it off. If you put it on you'll figure it out pretty quickly it's not going to work.

Or were you talking about the console tray? Now that's a tough job

 

I didn’t install it myself. My father helped. It could be a one person job but an extra set of hands won’t hurt. We followed the install video from realtruck on YouTube.
I didn’t add any extra weatherstripping, and I drove through 6 hours of rain to only find a few drops of water. I also skipped the front bed seal.
