Got a chance to wash, clay and use a ceramic spray over the weekend. Was pretty easy to apply. I liked it better than liquid and paste waxes I’ve used in the past. Looks good. It only supposed to last about 2 years which is not bad. I would liked to have done a true ceramic coating but my truck needs paint correction for the micro scratches and stuff. Did the glass, trim and wheels as well.

Oohh very nice. I’d love some puddle pods but I have a lot of stuff on my (not so short) short list already.

 

Im finally at the short list of things I’ll get. I don’t see bumpers or a winch in my future unless I win the lotto, so besides those things I mentioned in the above post is/are the footwell lights but they’re back ordered too.

 

That makes sense, I definitely don’t need bumpers either. I just got those sliders and my ARE cap *should* be coming later this month

Truck has been treating me pretty great. Not that I drive a whole lot still. Though that’s a good thing. I’ve got her pretty much how I want her, minus a roof rack.
How’s things for you? Excited you truck is getting closer?

I’m looking between Prinsu, Cali-Raised and RCI. They all have good looking racks and will do what I need them to…. Carry some light stuff once in a while. Was thinking of a pvp tube painted black for fishing rods when needed.

 

i had a prinsu and to me its the best rack out there cali rasied is eh for most of the stuff they do and i didnt know about rci having one thats new to me? ive seen people do that with fishing poles they also make kits where you can just bolt stuff on like that to hold the fishing rods

and ya it is but i also hate waiting lmao

 

Ive heard great things about the Prinsu and they seem the most popular. I’ll have to look at other rod options just to see. Thanks for the advice

Got to take my truck on the beach again and with the lower rated spring and front bump stops.
The ride was definitely better this time. While there was still a lot of bouncing it was no where near as harsh and less of it overall. Both times tires were aired down to about 18psi.

Updated first post with latest addition. KPOffroad Octo-cams and bolts. They’re a great product and worth it to know once I get the next alignment done, it should not need any adjustment unless I change springs or adjust the ride height.

Here are some pics, check out the rust on the one sleeve after 20k miles on my truck.
I needed new bolts as one was fubared from… a giant pot hole or alignment shop over-torquing the crap out of it… still not sure. Video is of hitting the pot hole. Felt a lot worse than it looks. I’ve never hit a pot hole that made me swerve that much.

After about 25k miles, one of my 4 tires are about done. The tread is almost level with the wear bars. Another tire is close and the other 2 look really good with thread. The have been rotated 3-4 times, but I’m guessing the psi or something wasn’t right. Some miles on them without a good alignment but I didn’t think enough to wear the tires like this. Maybe those 2 tires are just softer rubber…

You think you’re gonna stick with the 255’s and replace them or go with something different?

 

I might do 285/75 if/when I replace them. I’ll hold off for a bit but I’m probably going to put the stock wheels and tire on sometime during winter, depending how much I drive. I might not be able to use 16” wheels next year

I’m keeping an eye on FB for 2 used coopers that might have the same tread as the 2 good ones I have.
