    Hello,

I am trying to get some ideas on how to 'cover' the back of my truck when the tent is off. I have the CBI (Prinsu) over bed rack. They have told me I can't do any type of mod as it will default then warranty, but not sure I care much about that. Any ideas on either a cloth type cover or a hard cover I can use on there to protect the contents of the bed in the winter?

So far my best ideas are to use a tarp (no thanks) or add a Thule on there in the winter and not worry about the bed itself....

    I appreciate any suggestions!

What do you keep in your bed that needs covered? In the winter, would it be easier to take the bed rack off and swap in a tonneau cover for those cold/wet months? Maybe sell your current bed rack and buy one that’s tonneau compatible?

Another option might be to look for lockable boxes you can secure to the factory bed track system. Most of the good ones are dust/water proof anyway. You’ll get the added advantage of having your stuff more organized and compartmentalization, too.

An example would be ski gear headed to the slopes. If I have 4 people, gets crowded quick. I'll look into those tonneau covers - maybe I could figure out how to rig it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Reviving old threads will not solve your problem.

I ended up getting a couple of the Roam boxes. Thanks for the suggestion!
