Southern Utah: Where to have fun without ending up on someone's YouTube channel?

I'd like to take a road trip from British Columbia, Canada down to southern Utah and thereabouts with my mostly stock 2020 ACOR. The only performance upgrade so far is better tires.

I'm wondering what trails exist in this area for a capable but not tricked out Tacoma, and what the best loop between the two areas might be to maximize the experience. I'm thinking 2, maybe 3 weeks total round trip.

I've been guilty of watching plenty of YouTube recovery videos down that way and although I do want to leave the pavement and see some of that amazingly different scenery than what's up this way, I do not want to end up as "that tourist guy".

Anything related to this would be appreciated. This is in the first stages so I have only the concept, no details.

We did Islands in the Sky trail, in about 10 hours.
    Completely doable on 33's.

I vote for making a “Tacomaworld made me do it” t-shirt to be displayed on screen when you call Matt’s Off Road Recovery

    Enjoy your trip.

Remember the YouTube Rule: "Non-sketchy roads make poor videos." Said differently, there's a TON of regular dirt roads criss crossing UT -- very fun, super scenic but you just don't see those on YouTube (Matt's Off Road not required).

Do some homework on the UT Skyline Trail. The Burr Trail used to be all dirt, but now only the part which passes through Capital Reef National Park is dirt -- still worth the effort. The Wolverine Loop off the Burr is a fun road to explore with lots more off-shoots. Hells' Backone Trail is a high elevation road which runs between Boulder and Escalante, UT. How about the Lonesome Beaver Road from Hanksville up into the Henry Mountains (we will be doing that one late July), with tons more roads up in the Henrys. If in Moab, take the Potash Road down along the Colorado River -- it turns to dirt and fun. Only a few examples, just the tip of the iceberg. While all these roads are mellow, beware of wet roads (rain, snow) -- then all bets are off. UT mud is slimy snot which plugs your tread and greatly facilitates your truck moving sideways.

Do the homework and have fun. No snorkel required.

    Examples of mellow UT roads:

Trailsoffroad.com is a great resource for finding trails of all difficulty levels in the US. Just use the "Easy" filter for the areas you'll be traveling and have at it.

Fast forward one hour in Upper Muley Twist Canyon where this dumb-axe backed into a tree branch sticking straight out toward the truck. About 1" too far.

That will take some careful PDR to operate correctly again, methinks. The first dent is "decoration". This is not.

Lookee there erma, its one of them utah tow truckers with the support crew holding 4 goPros and a drone!
It does make me wonder how much of the tow bill is to support the extra people coming along.
Like, 5 people running around when 1 would suffice, do they get paid or only come along when they don't have work of their own?

Since Matt's Offroad doesn't charge the customer anything I guess it depends on who you call. Matt also gives them a T-shirt.

This is a nice UT ride for a stock Tacoma but you might end up on someone's YT channel.
