+1 for missing my 1st gen Tundra. I had a 2003 SR5 and that poor truck survived 4 years of high school me (with zero knowledge of how cars even work) beating the absolute shit out of it. jumps, donuts, burnouts, and lots of other hoodrat things

It was such a good truck. That 4.7 had like 319k on it when I traded it in, 0 issues. Just change the oil and go

It was the view when driving; harder to know who's behind you and where they are. As soon as it warms up I'm putting on US flag tailgate letters instead.

Added some CBI Side steps this weekend. And a photo of my helping han-paws. She still needs to be lifted up into the truck haha.
I didn't want to go with rock sliders as I don't have any desire to do any wheeling where I can risk damaging my daily driver. I'm very happy with these so far aesthetically and functionally.

that’s a shame. It looks bad ass. Which they could make it two way where you could only see it outside but not inside

It did look great. They have some decals that are perforated (like the ones they put on buses) but I haven't seen small ones like that. I want a flag on my truck so I'll post pics after I get my flag tailgate letters on.

Removed all my aftermarket exterior LED light bulbs from rear tailight assembly and front turn signal. My rear LED brake lights after 2 years of no issue started causing the brake malfunction and abs system warning lights and ended up popping some fuses which prevented my truck from starting. Once I removed the LEDs from the brake light assembly, everything was working normally, and had no issues with keeping in the LED front turn signals. These were all LED bulbs I got from Amazon, all the ENDPAGE brand which of course is no longer sold, but likely just rebranded under another name now. I did have 1 resistor installed on the rear right brake light wiring that stopped the front turn signal from hyperflashing but that doesn't seem to be causing any problems, but I will remove that next weekend as well. I do have LED's in the interior still, and just installed LED footwell lights but I don't think those will cause such a serious issue if they go "bad" at some point. What's odd is that the led bulbs were still working as far as I know, as I tested all my lights when I put in the footwell lights just to make sure nothing weird was going on. There wasn't any sort of warning of impending problem, just driving one day and warning lights just came on - didn't affect anything while driving, but once I turned the truck off and attempted to restart it was a no-go. Oh well. Back to the classic look of incandescent lighting!

I too had issues with LED bulbs. Had a resistor in each corner to compensate but when I had 2 fail on me I went with another brand and the hyper flashing started. Ended up with full LED tails and no more hyper flashing.

Also loved my 1st gen Tundra. Sold it with just shy of a quarter-million miles. It still started up instantly, ran smooth and straight with plenty of power. Just a great freakin' truck. My 2nd gen was terrific too. Almost bought a 3rd gen, but went with the Taco instead. So far... loving it as well!

btw have a set of Cali Raised bed molle racks - Used, but in great condition. Can’t use anymore after putting on the bed rack, so just looking for best offer to a good home. Located about an hour north of San Francisco if anyone wants to pick them up.

Negative. The console vault fits perfectly in the space. I thought about it also. And was out in the garage with a flashlight lol.
