My problem is sway bar hitting dsc adjuster and now the reservoir leaking. The reservoir is already set up to the highest point it can get with the mounting bracket fox provided. Sway bar is using the relocation mount that fox provided too. It seems like Fox have a poor design that allows the sway bar to contact with dsc knob when shock fully compressed. King and other manufacturers have a different mounting location that keep the reservoir far away from the sway bar. I removed the swaybar as soon as I notice the problem but the reservoir already start leaking badly right now. YouTuber Chloe have the same exact issue with me. The video link is below. Don't know anyone have the same problem with me or it's just a rare case?Pic of leaking shock.jpg

Update! Seems like the problem is I didn't installed the reservoir high enough. You really have to push the reservoir as high as possible, even some hammering on wheel well is necessary to get rid of any problem. Even with all those procedures, dsc knob freezing issue is still pretty common right out of the box. The performance elite series is very cool with aluminum body and newer seals. But I would just give fox some time to fix all the issues since it's a new product. I would prefer to buy factory series for now since they have been tested for a long time. If u don't care about the issues I mentioned above, go for the performance elite series.

Can you mount the resi's horizontal not vertical. I usually see them mounted horizontal

Not by the provided mount. The previous factory 2.5 series use a mount to horizontally mount the resi. Not sure why they update the mount and make it hard to use. And I just contact Fox and they refuse my claim for a warranty. Now Accutune which is the distributor take the case and willing to rebuild my shock for cheap.

If anyone want to buy Fox PES 2.5. Strongly suggest removing the swaybar or have the resi mounted any other way!! It would cost you hundred of dollars to replace dsc knobs and rebuild the shock without considering the time or labor with taking the shock off you rig and install it back! And it takes normally 1-3 weeks to rebuild it in shops like Accutune. I would strongly recommend removing the swaybar since you can adjust low speed compression on this shocks so body roll is not that significant from what I notice. And no more headache of breaking swaybar link or damaging your dsc knobs. You will gain more articulation and better off road handling also.

Can you take better photos how it’s mounted? And how much space from the top you have to the fender well

Wow seems like fox needs to redesign reservoir bracket. King mounts theirs angled and away from it.

I wonder if @AccuTune Offroad can comment on this issue.
I just got these shocks and I definitely don't want to have any damage from the sway bar

If you’re on upgraded suspension Remove the F’ing sway bar and turn the dial to firm for road and soft for off road and f’ng send it.

Looks like the reservoir could slide up another half inch or so. :notsure:

Op should post a video of reservoir slid up all the way till it hits bodywork, and cycle suspension up at full bottomout to prove whether or not its a faulty bracket design or user install error issue.

Update. There's like a very minimum space (like 1mm) between body and reservoir. I couldn't find a closer picture and the shocks are in Accutune for repair and revalve right now. I would like to do a suspension cycle test but I don't have my sway bar anymore and I install a bigger bump stop from wheeler off road to prevent wheel rubbing while fully bottoming out. I think part of the reason is I pushed my truck too hard since my 33.5 tire already pushing my battery up a little bit. And stock spindle and stock LCA set up allows a little more flex comparing to fully boxed aftermarket LCA and gusseted spindle. This little flex can allow wheel travel a little more up when bottoming out. I am tired of midtravel suspension and will get a long travel set up at the end of the year. But still! ! ! Please remove the sway bar to save your expensive coilovers! Don't take any chance to get it damaged and waste your money.

I'm having the same problem with 2.5s I just installed on my 08 Tacoma. Talked to Fox yesterday and they just said It looks like raising the resi's 1/4" should clear it. Doesn't seem that way to me. I'm thinking of cutting a triangle slice out of the bracket and re welding so the resi sits at an angle tilting the bottom forward. I'm hesitant to take the sway bar off completely, I took one off my bug as a kid and really regretted it because of the increase in sketchy body roll. Different, I know, but similar concept. For those who have done it is it really un-noticeable on road? My truck is a daily driver that I only take off road a couple times a year, despite my dreams of off-roading every day. image_67235585.jpg image_67182337.jpg image_67202305.jpg image_67194113.jpg

I'm installing mine now. I hammered the wheel well up where the resi makes contact so I can mount it up even higher. I'm hoping this will keep it from hitting the sway bar.

I'm thinking about disconnecting the swaybar from the spindle and rotating it up by hand to see how close it is. Seems like its hitting by more than just a little bit but its hard to tell.

Damn that is super lame. There is tons of hose length to angle the reservoir away too
