Squeaky LCA

So I know there have been many posts about squeaky front ends, but I haven’t read any specifically outlining the LCA as the culprit. For the past couple weeks I’ve had a very loud squeak in the front passenger side. Even just driving down the road it’s squeaking and creaking. I had my wife stand in passenger door and shake truck side to side while I lay underneath, and I triangulated the squeak to the LCA..

The odd part is that it’s not coming from any moveable part of the LCA, I can actually feel it with my hand in the middle of the LCA where the metal splits into two to attach to the inner wheel.

does anyone have a good solution?

for reference I have a 21’ with Toytec BOSS 2.0 lift kit.

 

I'd start with white lithium grease and see if that helps. That's weird it squeaks in that spot though.

 

I occasionally spray straight

AT205 on all the rubber bushings and CVT covers. It’s a conditioner which rejuvenates rubber. It seems to stop suspension noise for 6 months or so.

 

Ive read very recently that the makers of

AT205 changed the formulation. The original formulation had a "women's nail polish" smell to it, now that smell is gone and apparently the stuff doesn't work as well as it used to. As with most things, YMMV....
