Saturday I hand washed the truck in one of those DIY car wash stalls. Yesterday it rained. Today, the birds practiced their aim during fly-by-shatting. I love the birds, I do. I listen to them in the morning with my coffee, or in the evening when the sun is setting. I use an Android program called BirdNet, which identifies birds from their calls picked up on the phone's microphone. Free on Android, costs something on Apple. Anyway - why me? Why must they shat on my truck? :crapstorm:

I suspect that birds are so frightened by large shiny things (like freshly washed cars) that it scares the sh*t out of them.

I got you. It fits in and is snug, doesn't jiggle around but it also doesn't reach the bottom of the cup holder maybe like a quarter inch from the bottom because of the circumference if that matters to you.

Check out "Merlin Bird ID", it's free and operated by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Does IDs via picture, sound, or a series of questions. The only data linked to you is if you sign up for an account to save the birds you've encountered.

I can't help you with the poop problem though! Don't park by anything a bird will perch on? Or anywhere they're foraging on the ground? Basically you're only safe in your garage.

Loud and clear. Did you consider rebuilding your OEM with new bushings and ball joint? I'm curious because I think my bushings are shot on driver side so I'm considering rebuild or replacement.

Install took like 10 mins. Took it for a drive and feels like the truck is smoother and picks up faster. I have the trd air accelerator, trd filter and sprint booster

I did consider rebuilding them with the Whiteline bushings that I saw talked about in other TW forums https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...lacement-2005-tacoma-4x4-the-easy-way.437693/ but I was honestly a little hesitant to attempt this method out of fear of injury and the cut out method for the amount of time involved. If I had more time on my hands I probably would've attempted a rebuild, but I just have other house projects that I also need to get done and a trip coming up.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
The TRD air flow accelerator really helps this type of device reach its full potential.

That was a good read; thanks. I don't carry a hi-lift jack at this time, but it's important information to have because I will see some of them on the trails.

New grill installed today. Found a great you tube someone posted for the install. Super easy and I think really looks good on the truck. Yes not the Pro version as the letters are gold. And the garnish is Amazon recommended one but will see how it works tomorrow. Overall think it looks awesome.
