So in VietNam, the AC-47 gunships were called Puff the Magic Dragon.
In Laos, we called the AC-47 gunships Spooky.

I thought the AC-130 gunships were called Specter?

A friend/co-worker introduced me to something better than a Philly cheesesteak. Old Original Nick's in South Philly, Roast Beef Combo with gravy fries and a cold beer. My second favorite place to eat in that city.

I’m gonna go with the WW2 navigation device. That one made me laugh the most.

these are a piece of some headlight work I’m getting done.

Installed my roof rack today. I went with this one from Extreme Terrain. Install was straight forward and I'm very happy with it. I plan to order this one for the cap. Whenever that one shows up, we'll be prepping the cap for paint as well.

Installed OEM Trail Edition grille (and heritage badge) today. Was going to do the TRD Pro grille, but went with the Trail Edition since the letters are bronze. I thought it would compliment the Barcelona Red Metallic plus I'll probably go with black and bronze wheels at some point. You know, matchy matchy.

Couldn't stomach the price of Toyota's OEM TSS garnish so went with . The line color is a subtle grey like OEM, unlike the bright silver most of the other aftermarket garnishes have.

It's something I've been wanting to do since I bought it. I really like the overall look better than the original... less in your face and somehow a bit classier. Wife likes it better too... sooooo... win, win!

My predator steps are useless. That's what I need for the wife. And help in parking lots from door dings, What are they?

Stole an idea from this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/adjustable-tailgate-cables-on-the-cheap.477171/

I’ve got a project I’m going to need to move some longer pieces of wood for, so to help mitigate flexing while hauling I cut the wood crossbars to lay the panels atop the wheel wells, and made up these adjustable tailgate chains to add another support point further back.

16” long 1/4” chain locks into the tailgate latch (make sure it clicks twice!), quick link allows for adjustability and attaches where the tailgate latches, and the carabiners control the loose end of the chain if needed.

Wife had the same complaint, just not enough room to stand on with the Predator Steps. Swapped them out for some Odero side steps. (Details here)

Now there's more space to step up on which she likes. However I've talked about a lift, maybe 1.5" to 2", and since the Oderos are actually higher than the Predators, she's worried that it'll be uncomfortably high to try and step up on. So if/when the time comes for a lift I may have to look for a different set that has the drop-down step like the Predators but with a larger/wider step. It's always something. o_O

    Something to think about.

That's near the Sporting venue complex...I've been to Wells Fargo Center when the NHL Kings came to town before Covid.

I also took my youngest to Citizens Bank way back in 2010 when the Dodgers visited.

I'll have to try Old Original Nick's...it's closer than Delassandro's. Hahaha!

My buddy (who's from Philly) will have something to say about Old Original Nick's...lol!

Finished modeling and printing a left side switch panel for more OEM style switches so I could build out more additions in the future.

I'm going to at some point make a post in the for sale forums down the road when I stop being lazy (maybe ~$60ish for the panel seems reasonable maybe?). Printed in ASA @ 260°c+ a high temp/UV resistant material and UV. Open to PM's if people are interested too.

Stuff from the past few months:

    Method 703s 16x8
    Moved tires up to a 285/75r16 from a 265/75r16
    Alu-Cab canopy
    Front Runner racks
    Nitro 5.29s
AlphaRex NOVA headlights (not a mod I usually would care about, but my OEM ones were getting sun faded and I wanted to ditch the HID kit to get rid of those extra components)
C4 front and rear bumpers are on order and should be on in the next couple months.
