3rd Gen Drivers Air Bag Light

Hey all, new member here. I noticed that my airbag light has been staying on lately. I have a 2017 Limited with roughly 60k miles on it. Any suggestions, advice, or pointers?

 

What electrical mods have you installed?

 

I installed a Hypertech Speedometer calibrator. That’s it. Minimal dash removal and reinstall. Could that be the problem?

 

Welcome to the forum. Did the light show up after the install? If so, disconnect it and and disconnect the battery to see if that works.

 

I don’t want to sound incompetent, but I honestly do not know the answer to that question. It’s possible that it was on before and also possible that it started after the install. Lesson learned to pay more attention to detail. I will say, all of the steering wheel buttons works, cruise works fine, and there are no other known issues.

It wouldn’t be hard to disconnect the battery Negative, unplug the Hypertech, reconnect battery Negative and double check.

 

That’s a great suggestion. When I have a little bit of free time I will give it a shot and let y’all know!

 

If unplugging the Hypertech does not solve the problem, a good scan tool will be helpful if your budget allows.
