    Hello everyone,

I had to replace my tailgate and camera on my truck. I bought the wire harness but it came with a 4 pin (BN1) plug and my truck has a 5 pin (BN2) plug. I connected all the wires together except for the blue wire on my truck (BN2 plug), I left that taped off.

I tested it out but all the camera shows is static like in this below.

I found a similar thread but OP didn't post a solution.

Anybody know how to fix this? Any help is appreciated.

Black to black, red to red, white to white, green to blue, the 5th wire is shielding to prevent interference and may or may not be needed (I think it is needed on newer trucks like yours with LED taillights).

Were you not able to find a 5 pin camera/harness?

    Thanks for your reply.

No I wasn't able to find a 5 pin, I'm not sure of the part number. It's hard to import parts in my country (high taxes & duty) so if I could use this harness that would be great

I ordered this part from Toyota Parts Deal. Their VIN checker says it fits my truck but it doesn't , plus they won't accept a return.

Have you tried eBay?That's where I got mine. My truck did not come with a camera but it was wired for one. The only things that were missing was the camera and the small harness in the tailgate.
