Does anyone have any tips on removing this panel below the glovebox? (says srs airbag.) I’m assuming it has clips but I want to ask before I break something. I’m on the hunt for water that leaks down into the floor board and want to have a look around.

You have to pull the glove box first. Gimme a moment for more info.

That panel is an air bag. You need to be careful removing it!

The water is likely because your A/C drain is clogged. i used a wetdry vacuum on the line outside the cab (passenger side wheel well area) and it unclogged it and a couple cups of water poured out.

You will see under the dash up at the top of the carpet where the air conditioner drain hose goes through the firewall. Get like big gulp cup to catch water, pull the hose out from the firewall and blow into it to unclog whatever was the blockage. A bunch of water will probably pour out of it. So far I have only had to do this once but I am only at 15,000 miles.

You just pull it. Sometimes the clips that connect to the body on the right side stick a little. It is an airbag so be careful and/or disconnect the battery.

I tried a wet vac and air compressor on the drain line today. Nothing came out so I’ll find out tomorrow if it did anything. The line does drain but I notice that it will drip for hours after parking it. So maybe it’s a partial clog. I figure I’ll start with that rather than poking around the airbag. I took a screenshot of the linked video. Can anyone tell me what the circled part is? The water seems to be dripping off of the bottom of that part.

The circled black peice of plastic looks to be the passenger floor vent.
