That is unacceptable imo. I'm assuming the rubber feels pretty hard and not soft like it should? If I were you, I'd probably try and sell the RC UCA and just get a pair of dirt king UCAs instead. Ball joints are areas you don't want to disregard. As far as your shock bushings go, RC has a 3 year warranty on their shocks, but it's annoying to replace shocks every year.

Anyone figure out if the ball joints are proprietary?

Bought a "used" (still new in the box) set of these on here recently and one of the boots has a tear in it, contacted rough country to see what they can do for me.

Pulled a trigger on a set, my stock ball joints are leaking. Poly Performance had 10% off and free shipping.

Hey new to the forum and would like to buy the RC UCA but my concern is about the RC ball joint. I trusted them for the actual UCA since I don't think there is a problem with the aluminum arm and how it works. But quality on their ball joint is what I'm mostly concerned. @TacoFergie can you confirm the moog part number and Mevotech TTX series equivalent are the right one? Want to be sure that it is possible to swap with an OEM part and not the RC one.

    Thanks in advance

Ancient thread bump. Any feedback, +/-, on those poly performance UCA? These and Nitros seem to be a budget option that fly under the radar without much mentioning. Especially for those seeking an UCA with OEM style rubber bushings vs polyurethane or heim joints.

@backcountryj I have the RC control arms. I just purchased them through poly performance because they had the price. Have had them installed for about 8 months now and so far so good. Just got back from a trip and did about 100 miles of mixed dirt washboard roads and mild rock obstacles where 4wd was needed. No issues, everything aligned fine. I’m running ADS reservoir coilovers set around 2.75in of lift, 255/80 falken at3w on FJ wheels with a 1in spacer.

Dont listen to the anti RC people. I used to run Bilstein and only that, until one day I went for the RCs. Great decision, now when the shocks on my tundra start eating it, Im going with a RC lift.

Of course you have RC, it’s a RC thread haha. Your post hit my ‘poly performance UCA’ search. My bad.

Thank you for the detailed reply though. The RCs certainly look like another under the radar value option for folks.

I installed the RC UCA with a different brand 3" kit. I had plans to go with the full RC 3.5 kit eventually. When that time came, I cleaned off the threads and started the nut off the ball joint shaft. The lock nut that came with these got stuck on both sides of the vehicle. Due to the design of the ball joint it just spins. I had to put a set of vice grips on the shaft above the knuckle and take it off with a breaker bar. One was stuck so bad I had to cut the end of the shaft off.
    That's my experience.

Well...picked these up before seeing this thread. Let's see how long these last. Mostly on pavement with occasional dirt roads for campgrounds and lite OR. Eibach kit set at 2.75 lift up front and 1.75 w/ AAl with 275/70/17. Alignment results..before and after.
