I want to lift my truck 3" Im debating between 5100 and 6112. I was planning on going with the 6112 because of the off road capability but I believe they arn't a true 3 inches. I believe my only option to get a true 3" with the Bilstein 6112 is put a half inch spacer. not sure how that would ride and the point of me buying new coil overs is so I can avoid a spacer lift. For the 5100 without maxing out on the adjustable coil over settings which Im sure it would ride rough on a higher collar setting, I need a pre loaded collar. I know Wescoat designs make one. So just seeing my options here. Anyone with advice or similar setup please let me know

I have a .25" top plate on the old model 6112(with 6 perches). Have it on 6/5 riding on 285/75/17s. Rides good IMO. I'm guessing my lift is @3.25". 40.5" ground to fender.

In a few weeks I'm switching to a .5" top plate.

You could probably do 2" lift on the 6112 and .5" plate for a true 3" lift. Would ride great! Might have to think about UCAs.

Look up tinkerers adventure on youtube. Fitting any tire size has nothing to do with ride height, it is determined by wheel specs, tire width, alignment, bumpstop spacers, and your favorite cutting tool.

And for the love of good do not put any of these on the top perch setting if you plan to use the truck offroad, your down travel will be no existent.
