I had some extra vinyl laying around, so I added some color to the front to keep with the retro color scheme.

Picked up some used RCI rock sliders. It took all day but I was able to grind down the rust, prime, and repaint these sliders back to looking brand new.

Also completed by exterior LED conversion with LED license plate lights from Diode Dynamics.

I somehow cracked my passenger taillight… Perfect excuse to upgrade to some Pro style lights.

Decided to change up the tri-color vinyl on the hood scoop again. I also switched out the bedside decals but kept the retro color theme.

Decided to remove the “Tacoma” tailgate inserts for something a little different. Also picked up a TRD Pro exhaust from a local dealer for an incredible price.

I’m a fan of the black out on the lower part of the tailgate. I’ve been pondering this myself for a while and wondered why I don’t see it more often. Nice work!

Thank you! I’ve seen a few members on here with the look and I’ve always really liked it so I gave it a shot.

It’s actually Rustoleum “Rugged” peel-coat so I can pull it off like Plasti-Dip if needed. The texture looks similar to the bed liner on my fender flares so it was a win-win.

I'll post one ASAP! Unfourtnatly I wasn't able to get the exhaust bolts off with the tools I had available. I'm just going to wave the white flag and let my local exhaust shop cut and re-weld everything.

I used the template I found on the forum. It was super easy and looks really good. The added protection is nice too!

Decided to go a different route with the exhaust. After going out to Moab I realized the stock exhaust location was prone to getting bashed on rocks. Since the TRD Pro exhaust I had bought in February routes the same way, I decided to sell it and just “high-clearance” chop the factory tailpipe.

The red/yellow/orange vinyls are gone. Being replaced with black & white topographic vinyls on the hood bulge, bedside, side mirrors, and lower tailgate.

Added the 67 Designs “Taco Rail” alongside my stuffy mount.

Also installed Bullet Proof Fab’s front recovery point until I decide on what direction I want to go as far as a front bumper.

    FN Wheels “Overlander Spec A”

This (might) be my last update for a while. We just purchased our first home so I’m poor until further notice. I can also say that I’m incredibly happy with how the truck looks and drives right now. I haven’t been this pleased with it since the day I drove it home. So for now I’ll just be enjoying it to the fullest.
